Ridgewell is out for 2 games and DJ didnt play last week, so who will AM select as captain if DJ is not selected this week?
For me, if Martin Taylor is selected I would make him captain. I think it would boost his confidence to give him this responsibility and demonstrate the clubs support of him in the face of the adversity he has received from Wenger, Fabregas and Blatter.

Not a very diplomatic move. The press would slaughter us.

Captain, I imagine, will be Kelly.

Giving Martin the captiancy, although a gesture of note, is hardly the right reason for someone being given the armband. The captain needs to be one that other respect, look up too, lead by example, driven and vocal. I don't know tiny but he doesn't appear to be the first choice.

Captain on Saturday could be anyone out of Maik Taylor, Kelly, Larsson, Muamba or Forssell...

Captain next season will be McFadden...

I think Nafti would be the best bet. Not sure if Mcleish will go for him but i hope he does.

He is a senior player, central midfield (best for a captain to communicate) and he can speak the language of every1 in the team.

Good call, I also think Nafti. He is also our most underrated player

I bet he still has trouble with the Scottish lads!

Nafti would be my choice, he is a leader.

He also does'nt drop deeper as games go on and pushes out as soon as possible, the players would respond to someone like that in the middle.

Tiny was an excellent captain during the period last season after DJ got injured and before Upson returned to the team.

Thinking about it further- Nafti is the translater at the moment with so many different language speakers at the club- and so that convinces me further that it will be Nafti if he starts...
