I opened a thread and it got moved to here. Why? so the masses cannot see what the club has done?

Also, when I have made a post highlighting the fact we have taken the bare "no risk" minimum allocation somebody removes it.

I thought the Forum was above such extreme censorship.

I have been reliably informed that there was the entire Putney End available should we want it. Obviously the demand is there but the Club made the wrong decision.

OK everybody makes mistakes......but stop hiding the mistake from the supporters

How is moving a question into the Questions forum hiding anything ? The Questions forum is just as accessible to everyone as Blues Chat, Away Travel or any other area of the board.

And based on the "average" away support for most of the season, I'd guess that taking the maximum available in the "Away" section was just about the best the we could do - I refer also to Mo's reply to your other thread :

And presumably, the home side need to be prepared to give up the seats that could be used by their own support. As this is a vital game for Fulham, I would imagine they would have a big take-up from their own support.

Blues cannot dictate what allocation is offered by other clubs, often in consultation with their local constabulary - same with Villa, we only got just over 2,500.

Perhaps more could have been requested, but there is no guarantee that Fulham would have agreed.
You have to remember also that additional allocations are often in large numbers, and subject to no-sale, no-return, and it is possibly also for these reasons (as well as segragation issues etc) that a further allocation was either not requested or not forthcoming from Fulham.

Strange how we always seem to get the same old questions at the tail end of most seasons when there are perceived "more important" games - anyone remember the clamour to get Worthington Cup Final, Play-off final tickets, or - indeed - Preston tickets this time last year ???......

That's probably my point.

Blues disrespect for it's supporters by not "gambling" on the extra...and as you say Hirsty (like the rest of us) funny how there is maximum demand at the end of the season - yet the Club cannot see that, or don't want to take the risk.

Who knows whether a further allocation was requested (or not) - again, please read Mo's response to your other thread.

I'm sure - as home fans - we'd all be the first to moan (very loudly) if Blues allocated the majority (if not all) of the Railway end if the situation were reversed. Think about it from Fulham's prespective as well..

Fulham FC have (or had) the overiding say on their Away ticket allocation, and we have (as far as I can tell) taken the maximum number of tickets available in their allocated away section.

Fair play to those who have managed to get tickets in Fulham's allocated Neutral section (and well done Fulham for having such an area **thumbup. I can't think of any other ground that has a similar Neutral area).

KRO.

I'll stress again :

and :

Blues cannot dictate what allocation is offered by other clubs, often in consultation with their local constabulary. - this will be for safety reasons....

and :

I'm sure - as home fans - we'd all be the first to moan (very loudly) if Blues allocated the majority (if not all) of the Railway end if the situation were reversed. Think about it from Fulham's prespective as well..

Why is it always "The Boards" fault when it may well be - and probably is - totally beyond their control as a visting team ???

Sure, we could probably have sold 5 or 10,000+ - but Craven Cottage has an allocated Away section holding 2,700, and we have no divine right to demand any extra.

1. 2,700 is not the maximum - it's the minimum.
2. If the away team does not take the full allocation, then those blocks not taken are opened up as "neutral"

That is why there is no neutral available for ManU,Chelsea etc ..and even Derby this season.

So, why didn't Blues take a bigger allocation?

[I think this is a question for Admin]

It was moved because you were asking a question. The members in Blues Chat wouldn't have known the answer, so it was moved to Admin Questions so that Admin could answer it to the best of their knowledge.

Who by - a Fulham supporter?

I have heard the following by a Fulham supporter:

According to what I have heard, I don't think it over matters anyway as Blues fans are joining the various Fulham supporter clubs and are now getting tickets.

It sounds to me that the away end is going to be 80 to 90% Birmingham, so you shouldn't have to worry. Around 5,000 will probably be down there in total.

A link was left in Blues Chat - so everyone that reads threads in there can open the thread in there.

As your question has been dealt with - this thread will now be closed.
