We should hold out for 15 - 17 Million pounds.
We happen to know that they have that much to spend....

Pure myth which was started by Arsenal fans.

When he was signing, the gooners were all saying that he's only being allowed to leave because he has no pace whatsoever.

Ok, so he's no Jerome, but he can run! Anyone remember his Maradonna like goal against Sheff Wed last time we were in the CCC?

Rather ironic, Blackburn paying us for Larsson out of the money the'yre getting from Villa for Bentley.

I suppose it's not as a bad as what I've thought for three months or more and that is Villa would sign Larsson.

Birmingham chairman David Gold is adamant Sebastian Larsson will not be allowed to leave St Andrews.

Blues are facing a fight to keep hold of their top stars, including Larsson, following their relegation from the Premier League.

Newcastle and Blackburn have been strongly linked with a move for the Swedish international, who impressed for Birmingham last season.

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish is keen to keep Larsson as he plans an immediate return to the top flight and Gold has vowed to pull out all the stops to prevent the former Arsenal youngster leaving.

"Seb will leave over my dead body. He's vital to us," Gold told The Sun.

That last sentence, the quote from Gold, as I was reading it I was feeling more and more confident. Then they had to spoil it by putting "told The Sun" at the end and now I reckon it's complete and utter cow poo

The writer did, it's just a link phrase, to stop the article going stale.

He could have said 'Swedish international' or 'Player of the Season' or 'Ex-Arsenal'.

well in reply to that i am completely and utterly shocked. Sorry but i dont think hes going if Sully rates him that highly. Sully has never rated a Blues player like that and hasnt hesitated to say they can leave if they so wish...

Makes a change Seb being branded a "£5m player" by the papers.
Alot of them previously seemed to think we rated him as a £3m-£3.5m player which is just laughable and shows how poor journalists in London really are.
