I have set my AVG to alert me when a site downloads tracking cookies to my computer. I used to just detect and clean them off every few days without knowing where they came from. But what I am learning is that bcbfc.com is rife with the things. Most other sites have none. I would feel more comfortable if bcfc.com did not have them. What do you think? |

I'm of a similar opinion - I can understand why sites like to use them, but I always clear mine as wel (also using AVG - as it happens!) |

AVG also use tracking cookies. In fact everytime they interupt and download they are also retrieving info from their trackers. Avast, which is a similar free product also uses tracking cookies, but I find that it is less intrusive and doesn't grind everything to a halt when its uploading/downloading. Advanced Window Care is also free, and this scans and removes spyware adware etc Well worth the couple of minutes it takes after logging off to run it. It also re-sets your registry in case any tracker has interfered with it. **thumbup |
