Watched the game in France today, just wondering what the atmosphere was like at the ground?

Agreed.Poor and the performance did not help. All ended well but we are going to find teams difficult to break down at St A's. Frustration was the order of the day.Defence lacked conviction at times and we tried to go long ball to often, especially in the second half. Still a win is a win and players need time to settle. We will face lesser teams than the Blades so the fans will have more to shout about in coming games.

Let your heart beat strong and all that. :lager:

Dont agree. Bearing in mind we now have the banal, sanitised all- seater stadia I thought today's atmosphere was quite good.
If you want a good atmosphere at football you need to bring back the terraces.

FACT!

Atmosphere was dire but not giving the ground anything to sing about by not having even one shot on goal in a full 90 minutes is a disgrace. If it wasn't for Phillips there would have been a few boos at the end of the game.Which probably would have been the loadest we were all day.

I agree Dani we were close to hearing a few boos at full-time but Super Kev came to the rescue.

As regard to the vocal support it needed a spark on the pitch to get everyone going i think. Everyone was just waiting for something to happen.

But come on folks.......OK,we didn't hit the target but we did have several chances

Bent went close and MacFadders should have at least hit the target with his chance....plus there was a great defensive block from a Sheff Utd defender from Bent :applause:

Phillips goal was actually quite breathtaking

And finally Derby were BOOED at the final whistle by 33,000 supporters and there's still 45 games For Gawd's Sake :banghead:
