was pleased with Seb's post match comments even though he didn't exactly answer the question about whether or not he is happy, he did say his workrate tonight said it all and he is always proud to pull on the shirt

That was Oconner you plonker

Just watched it.

The two words id use to sum up the performance was comfortable and professional.

Didnt need to get out of second gear the whole game, and the debut goal for Quincy is a bonus.

Oh and to stop the arguments

Nafti scored 1st ... assist O'Connor
Larsson scored 2nd ... assist O'Connor
Jerome scored 3rd ... assist Parnaby
Quincy scored 4th ... assist Carsley

Oh and we've got Southampton away next round

3 cracking goals, and Nafti's was good as well.

Quincy was immense (how the hell did he side foot it in from that range, at that speed with no kick back... blatent Arsenal style), Seb was brilliant, O'Connor was very good in possession, Carsley and Nafti bossed it..

Future seems a lot brighter in the McLeish era.

I say the match, first half kept the ball well, but apart from Nafti goal, very dull. 2nd half much better, subs made a big impact. Great run and goal by Qincey - he will only get better, McSheff. beware! We will get better from here, Southampton here we come.

There was much confusion on the match thread about who scored the 2nd goal las night

It was indeed Seb Larsson although some sites (including BBC Sport of all peope) at the time reported O Connor's name ....it was O Connor who actually fed the short pass to Seb

So the scorers were

Nafti,Larsson,Jerome,Owusu Abeyie

Great goals though ALL of them :applause: Just saw them on Sky

Seb started the move and then ran half the length of the pitch to finish it off. He also provided a pin point pass for for Cameron's goal, which if Quincey hadn't upstaged him would have been the goal of the game!!
