What they were singing sounded exactly like ours, and the tilton even tried to join in at one stage, sounded nothing like madness to me. |

Have to say the only think i enjoyed about Saturday was the chant, more and more people joining in to getting loader now. Blackpool copied us though and seemed to do a better job! Suppose they had something worth singing about. Keep it up, be great when the whole ground sings it. Stays in your head all evening though |

Yes it was food for thought, as the UB40 saxo player is from Blackpool. I recognised it from in the Kop Corner next to the away fans, and even the Tilton started to sing along with it. Defo the same thing. |

Partisans link was Madness one step beyond. Besides i think the wife was little to unhappy at me to listen to my romantic slurs :lager:  Still not as bad as my drinking buddy for the night that insisted on trying to share his Kebab with his veggie wife ........ Villa fans  Still think one step beyond would go down well in the Tilton **thumbup |

Yeah true. His Dad used to live in Shard End 'cos I fitted a shower for him in the 80's. Now there's a claim to fame. He promised to get me a copy of that limited edition album they made with the hologram on the front but he never did. UB44 I think it was called. I had to buy my own :boohoo: :drink: |

First head it at Gillingham in the pre season match this year. It is definitely Food for Thought by UB40. Actually, I dont think it is all that effective (it detracts from the real Blues songs IMHO)... even the Blackpool fans started it on Saturday! I am sure it was started by the Black guy who goes to every game. (I'm sure he must be world famous in Brum) I'm sure he's also the one that started all the Food songs like Oh when the beans... come out the tin.... I think he also started the Quincy song at Wycombe... Codnorbluenose |
