...all with different questions i thought it makes sense to have just one...

Im planning on going to derby, anyone been to pride park before? Good ground for away fans? Easy to get to from derby train station? Whats the atmposhpere like etc?

Internet footie ground guide seems to class it as one of the best grounds for away fans for view/atmosphere etc and also best overall ground in the championship...many people going public transport or most driving? Any known problems about going public transport?

There's always a chance that the person sitting next to you might smell a little.

the two times i have been ther, there has been an averagely good atmosphere, the ground was easy to access ( i went in the car and easy to park ) and both times it turned out to be great matches
so all in all....derby has been a good away ground for everything, for me anyway

Yeah train station is about a 5 min walk.

You go back over the platforms away from the town.

If you decide to go out of the main entrance then there are a few boozers opposite the station that have a good mix of fans and a chippy on the same block if you want a bite to eat while walking to the ground.

The first pub you get to over towards the ground normally accepts home fans only and the bouncers ask for ST or a home stub.

Cheers

Last time we went it was piece of cake to get to/ from, nowhere to get a drink for away fans though, which wasnt a massive problem as we never left brum until around half one (for a three o clock KO).

Been and got my tickets today, looked like there were still loads left.

Never had a problem with that pub/restaurant right near the ground just behind the 2 gas tanks. Can't remember the chain, but it's a "harvester" type place with a garden.

(I don't think it's the harvester by the station - pretty certain it's not even a harvester)

KRO,
C.

PS: And have always managed to park for free on industrial office spaces right by the "un-remembered name" pub. Just get there early(ish).

Hirsty, both times I went there, the Harvester place ask to see your match ticket (to screen out away supporters). Fortunately we had train tickets from Lowdham or Nottm which proves to them were Derby fans!!- so if asked just say your from Matlock or something and you are meeting someone to get the tickets.

Should be interesting next week, I am getting a lift with the lowdham rams.

Got mine through on Saturday, went to Derby last year, scored after 30 seconds through Jerome, hope he can do it again.

Cannot remember anything from around the ground though from when I last went, friend of mine is asking whether theres a KFC or something like that around to eat at?

Yes, and you can watch Sky Sports whilst drinking it. Handy at HT - have a drink and see how all our rivals are doing.

Any idea on number sold? Will be an absolute embarrassment if we can't sell 2,000 tickets for this one.

There is a burger king, kfc and pizza hut just accross the river about half a mile away. Might find parking a bit difficult as the council are trying to stop local companies using their car parks for match parking. Had to give my ticket to Mrs due to work meeting, Gutted!! :banghead:

There's literally every fast food outlet going, about 5 minutes from the ground over a little bridge. I'm planning on a pre-match Veggie Delhi :)

One thing i've also not noticed anyone mention is that on the ticket it says prices;

Advanced £25
Matchday £28

So presumably any remaining tickets will be pay on the day?

Normally Derby allocate the 4 Blocks to the left of the goal direct to the away club and then on the day sell the remaining 2 blocks directly behind the goal.
