Good to see that new and young referees seem to be coming through this season. It suggests that despite the downside to the role young officials are still being recruited into the fold.

Let's hope he has a good game.

REF NAMED FOR DERBY GAME

Posted Image

Referee Michael Oliver will take charge of Blues' Championship game against Derby County at Pride Park on Tuesday evening.

The Northumberland-based official has refereed seven games so far this season where he has given out 15 yellow cards and a single red.

He has never previously refereed Blues.

Mr Oliver will be assisted by David Coote from Nottinghamshire and Jock Waugh from South Yorkshire.
