To get back to the original theme, imagine if someone somwhere could find copies of those games from bygone years. I qwould willingly pay a tenner for a copy of the 4.0 at stans, wonder if they have the 2.1 when Barry Bridges topped and tailed em! That would be worth another tenner!
How I love beating the villa!

Would be very hard to find those 60's clips....I can't recall Blues v Arsenal Cup replay in 1968 ever having TV cameras there at SA at the time, remember the cameras only showed up for Match Of The Day or ITV regional football coverage (remember London had 'The Big Match with Brian Moore ?? ) , there were no extensive 'all the day's games' highlights like we have today .......I was locked out of that game myself right before kick off so missed Barry's wonder scissor kick goal

I think the best option right now is a search on YouTube for just clips and goals from old games , I've seen quite a few on there from Th Penguin Era (The Two Bobs, Francis, Kendall, Burns etc)

Found this info website about Central's Star Soccer

I used to hate Gary Newbon though ....Claret and blue through and through ......and it stood out a mile :tomatoes: :tomatoes:

Haven't had time to review it all but here's a MOTD clip from the 1975/76 season

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdYmmYsJWik&feature=related

Check out the awesome punch up between Franny Lee and Norman Hunter :LMAO:

Franny even was reported to have 'dived' down the steps of the FA building after he had his hearing and got banned for 4 games and fined 250 quid yet Hunter got off scot free

Wasn't that the season Trevor scored that great goal at home v QPR where he went back away from the QPR box beating a few defenders (like the ageing McLintock) and then unleashed that rigt foot drive into the bottom corner ? :Blues:

But I'd never hold The South Yorkshire Police 100 per cent to blame.....True, they were grossly negligent in their duties and one or two higher ranking officers used bad judgement but the fact remains 6,000 Liverpool fans turned up just 5 minutes before kick off , many drunk and disorderly and nearly all of them without match tickets

So the South Yorkshire police were grossly negligent, yet Liverpool fans should shoulder the blame because some of them turned up 5 minutes before kick off and started surging forwards?

I don't really want to get involved in this with you, but this has to be one of your most ill-thought out, most bombastic claims ever.

I suggest you read up on the subject before you further besmirch the character of ordinary people whose lives were ruined by a negligent police force. What happened that day was criminal, and the culprits got away scott free.

Yes that was the year trev scored that great goal, it was that same match when mclintock floored paul hendrie ( that hatefull little snotbag lee`s dad) The dad was as mouthy and dislikable as the son as no blues player even brought it to the refs attention, he had been mouthing at Ian Gillard the qpr left back all match and Mclintock felled him.
QPR r/b that day was dave clements dad of the baggie lege who has just retired.
The Dad topped himself!! Can you imagine how sad thaT MUST HAVE BEEN FOR HIS FAMILY!
