Have now given up using the mail website. They have really made it unusable due to trying to stop adblockers and also the amount of content just slows it down and makes it unuseable. I have now given up, I'll use other online newspapers.

Who on earth wants or needs a great big red Virgin advert everytime they logon to the website.

Not me, I'm off elsewhere.

I agree entirely. Their site is so slow loading because of all the advertisements that have become too intrusive. I don't mind adverts, but theirs are too ott.

They also have those annoying surveys that pop up

Those really slow the site down

Rarely use the Mail website anymore

I wish they would bring a 'Sports Argus' back......even some kind of web version

Probably will never happen

The Times is a joke as well......Here in the US, you have to pay a subscription to view it :LMAO:

:copno:

The adverts and the surveys are annoying and I wish they weren't there, but then if they didn't have them they probably wouldn't have a newspaper at all. I would imagine that Birmingham Mail is struggling as a local newspaper owing to the dominance of online free news that is available. I don't think they are doing anything wrong by having a revenue stream to ensure that the online content they put out pays its way. I would guess that hard copies of the paper are falling and the main bit of their work is now online.

I don't like the Birmingham Mail, and the ads are annoying, but if I want local news about the club or about the area where I was born and bred, and especially as an exile - I am prepared to stomach it.

The Birmingham Mail is still a good content paper and website compared to other local papers that are also struggling. I would put up with the adverts rather than pay a subscription as with The Times.

The Argos will never come back. It was the first casualty of the tech age and being able to get the reports on the days game minutes after the final whistle.
