Here are 12 reasons why we could end up relegated by christmas with an all time low points haul in the premiership.!

The 11 players picked are the 11 I think will be Alex Mcleish's starting 11..

Got my tin hat on..

1.MAIK TAYLOR..Poor kicking, panic's under pressure, and if the other team get a penalty then just award them the goal, as he never saves them, probaly the most overated goalkeeper in all my years of being a Bluenose (43 years)..

2.STEPHEN CARR..Rescued from the scrap heap by AM, one of the too many over 30 year olds in the side!
3.DAVID MURPHY..Injury prone,been a bit of a let down since his signing!
4.SCOT DANN..Unproven in the premiership!.Panic buy?
5.ROGER JOHNSON..Again unproven in the prem, will he be good enough?

6.SEB LARSSON..Takes a great freekick (correction:used to), cant get past a defender, overated? Not good enough last time!
7.JAMES MCFADDEN..Injury prone, drifts in and out of games too much, not worth the money we paid for him!
8.LEE CARSLEY..Too old, another past his sell by date, will struggle to last 90 mins in most games.
9..LEE BOWYER.Another 'Old Un', and always likely to be red carded.
10.BARRY FERGUSON.Likely to be past his best and another 30+..

11.CAMERON JEROME.Couldn't trap a bag of cement, no football brain, 1 goal in every 4/5 games just isnt good enough for a striker on his wages!

12.ALEX MCLEISH.If performances are anything like last seasons then we will struggle big time! The jury is still out on AM..

Am a season ticket holder, the above I could have changed to '12 reasons why we wont be relegated' (but would have struggled to make any positive comments)..

But will he be good enough for the premiership?

Correct me if I am wrong here, wasn't dann, the defender when cov played chelsea in the cup last season and he made that horrendous mistake when drogba robbed him of the ball and went on to score?..Apologies if I am wrong on this one.

You're right but he is still a young lad and every player makes mistakes in their career, just look at some of the top players in the world and they still make mistakes just as bad.

A ) Chances are Joe Hart will be number one next season.

B ) Maik Taylor was fantastic for us last season, Without him we wouldn't be in the premier league!!!

"no" you are the exact reason why me will never win anythink major, why do some blunoses have such a defeatist attitude. so you reckon we are worst then when derby was last in the prem or the sunderland side that was in the late 90's, i very much doubt that. the point on scott dann is that you judge him on 1 game against a striker that scores plenty goals in the prem and in europe against 'better' sides than when he was at coventry, also Vidic at man utd always has a horrid time against drogba and vidic is 1 of the best defenders in the prem. i think someone needs to take them happy pills and be more supportive instead of being so down in the dulldrums.

4.SCOT DANN..Unproven in the premiership!.Panic buy?
5.ROGER JOHNSON..Again unproven in the prem, will he be good enough?

9..LEE BOWYER.Another 'Old Un', and always likely to be red carded.
10.BARRY FERGUSON.Likely to be past his best and another 30+..

:Blues:

So Ryan Giggs should not have been in Manures team last season then. Did you know it is easier for a 30 year old to last 90mins in the prem than the championship. It all depends on the player, ie Sherringham.

Thats your opinion and fair play..

But if I had to rate all the goalkeepers I have seen at the Blues he would be down their right at the end of the pile!

I think he is very overated!

Football is all about taking risks sometimes they pay off and sometimes they don't.Look at the likes of Lescott and Jagielka two players who came from the championship within 3 years and are now the two centerhalfs for a team that can challenge for 4th spot.

Yea but they went in to a settled/esablished premiership club..

Dann will have to prove his worth this season, or we could be back in the championshp next year..

I mean he might be ok, but would'nt someone with premiership experience be better at this stage?

Having watched bcfc for 47 years some of the best players we have ever had have also been the cheapest. Not so long back we signed a player for what was then for us big money and we all got excited at the prospect, but that did`nt last long his name..... Rickey Otto. :LMAO: the morol age and cost is not the be all.

I dismay at reading threads like this. Fair play bluenosekev 43 years a bluenose.....but just because you've been disapointed in the past......doesn't mean that you judge a team without even seeing a ball kicked.
I do not understand why you have something against players who are 30 or over. Granted they are a short term fix, but a fix none the less. When a player reaches 30 it doesn't make him over the hill, it provides him with that extra experience which will help our "unproven panic buys" settle in and learn to be premiership players.
Unfortunately we can't go out and buy proven premiership players who are at the peak of their careers. We must instead try to provide a decent mix of experienced and potentially good premiership players throw these players together and have a bit of faith that they will provide a base from which to build a team which will have a long term future in the premier league.
To sum it up Kev, sit back, enjoy and have a bit of faith who knows you just might be pleasently suprised.

11 reasons why we could stop up this season.......my positive slant on things.

1. Joe Hart - One of the best young keepers in the country who is a regular at Under-21 level.
2. Stephen Carr - Quality full back with experience of the prem
3. Armand Traore - Hopefully we get him on loan and will be the best left-back we have at the club
4. Roger Johnson - A leader of men, an organiser.
5. Giovanny Espinoza - 80-odd caps at international level for Ecuador
6. Lee Carsley - Quality proven prem player with experience
7. Barry Ferguson - quality footballer who is a prob the most comfortable on the ball out of them all...except...
8. Keith Fahey - quality footballer who can open things up and has a goal in him
9. Christian Benitez - Pace and can score a goal...always a good combo
10 Cameron Jerome - pace can worry even the best
11 James McFadden - most creative player at the club with prem league experience....

Factor into the likes of Maik Taylor, Ridgewell, Bowyer, Phillips, Bent, Parnaby, Damien Johnson - they all have experience in this league.
