I was very very impressed with the screen, looked classy, the slides they had prepaired for it all looked tidy as well, The pitch and track around the edge look good also. Just need to finish sorting the seats out in the main stand!

Oh and guess what the guy behind me was complaining about, he said 'Oooohhh no, theyve got to sort that clock out on the screen, it flashes every time the numbers change, I can't have that, that's terrible' hahaha Some people!

Where were you sitting? That could have been me!

I do have to say, it looked really smart and is a credit to the club. However, although I'm not moaning per say, the flashing clock timer will take some getting used to for night games, the screen is so bright that the constant flashing whilst ticking over certainly catches the line of sight. I'm sure this will only be an effect at night though......Great job Blues **thumbup

You won't notice it when the football is more interesting.

I've had a fantastic reply from Sarah Gould this morning about the screen probs.

Dear Steve

Thanks for your correspondence.

I have spoken this morning with Chris Alcock AV Producer with regard to your questions and he has informed me that the flickering screen is a slight glitch in our graphics software which as we speak is being tweaked and will hopefully be done intime for the Aston Villa game.

Unfortunately due to Premier League rules we are not allowed to show the clock beyond 45 or 90 minutes as it could ‘challenge the discretion of the referee’ should the time added on go over etc. There are no clubs with a digital 90 minute clock in the land who allow this.

That same set of rules also means we cannot show replays of any decisions which could be deemed contentious, like the penalty incident last night for example.

We were hoping the PA system would air the interviews ok, but it appears some didn’t hear them to well. The plan for the Stoke game is to subtitle each interview with engineers onsite looking at the PA system.

Kind regards

Sarah Gould | Customer Services Manager

All very good having state of the art equipment.

...but what will they be showing? SSN halftimes/fulltimes and replays of goals/near misses are a minimum. I would like the Sky lunchtime game shown live as well (on before Sat 3.00 games)

It's up to you Blues. Don't spoil it and show cr+p and overdo the adverts.

not sure they can do that - show sky games live

Fulham do.

oh and Coventry do - we watched Villa get stuffed by Chelsea before the game in Feb. **thumbup

To do that you have to get a special proper license to show to the public which costs an absolute fortune and for the amount of games that actually would be on before our game i doubt it would be worth it

So do West Brom & Everton & Crystal Palace

'A special proper license' Is that the official name for it? I doubt that a Premier League club have to pay much of a license to show another premier league game in the stadium, when pubs can get a license for around £2k a year. What with being 1/20th of the package themselves.

Get matches on before hand (At least by the bar) That is if they have replaced those flatscreens that were robbed a few years back in the Kop. lol

your joking as a land lord I was quoted by Sky £1800 per month, its based on your ratable value, and I think blues ratable value will be massive.

This was my view from the Kop corner. Was very good except that on a couple of occasions the font was too small to read properly and my eyesight is actually very good. Plus they should always use a Sans Serif font as it would be much clearer than the Serif font they were using.
