This link seems to suggest that we had a £10million bid accepted by Liverpool, after they refused the £9million bid. However, Babel did not want to move to blues. Tatts also suggested that Babel might not be keen on a move to St. Andrews.

It does suggest we are in for Pav though  **thumbup

Babel No Go

Babel's initial response to the £9m bid from Blues is that he was interested in a possilble move to Birmingham. He was repudiated by the scouser fans for it Raffa had a word about the possility of working with the lad so Babel rejected the offer and Raffa told SSN that he wanted to stay. Then the second bid of £10m went in from Mc'leish which has neither been accepted or refused so that offer is still current. Its all really up to the Raffagaffa whether he is really gonna give Babel his exposure for the World Cup and a proper chance to develop, :LMAO: or whether he'll off load the striking midfielder in view of his transfer kitty needs for his own January signings!

So we make a 9m bid, Babel wants to go but raffa won't let him. We make a 10 m bid Babel does not want to go, but raffa wants him to? Is that right?

Almost right! **thumbup

Just change the last line to: ...raffa may soon want him to go!

P.S. Several top European clubs are interested in Babel and following these antics of the Raffagaffa!

my thoughts as well

i think Rafa is playing a waiting game the way Villa did with Gareth Barry

and i believe it'll cost him........................end ultimately in Babel being sold for less than we offered

beggars the question why ain't he playing him to put him in the shop window ?????????

is there a club ready to put in for him .......or has Benitez REALLY lost the plot???????

thoughts

.

Well even if not so top Europe sides are after him, i think for Babel he would prefer playing week out and in EUFA Cup at the minimum. So even if that means Ajax, or Vallencia, or even a German Club even if not Beyern Munich i think Babel would prefer that than comming here or even Villa if they cant garuntee Europe every season.

Pitty, i hope McLeish is not stubborn and has moved Babel off his list for good, because if Babel is still at Liverpool by the Summer and by then he gives up hope of getting games at Anfield, if he would then consider a move to us i would still go for him as he is a usefull player to have upfront and option on the wings.

Kuyt's a great player IMO and if you look at the last three seasons top goalscorers charts, he's up there on every one.

TWO - ONE!

:LMAO:

At last the big clubs are getting shafted. It just proves that they do not have the right to everything for once.

:LMAO:

On a side not though McAnuff and Jones hmm... ;)

They are stale right now and they just cannot get themselves on track, as long as we can take advantage of that I can't see why we can't jump over them in the table. I am really hoping they lose this, it just makes things worse for them and probably will not help them with their confidence.

I wouldnt take any player from Liverpool now. Just a lot of effort and no results from all the players. How can any of them make them any better than what we have?

was'nt impressed with him in their last champions league game but that said we do despartely need some sort of target man so if the price is right then why not
