Whether or not Babel was being politic on the webstream or not, even as a keen admirer of Ryan Babel and one of his staunchist supporters on this message board, to be honest I'm getting a little tired of the inconstancies of Babel and the Raffagaffa and if neither has got the bottle to make a decision I think we should move on from this debate!

I know what you mean, but I'd bear in mind that this has all come from media speculation. I'm sure they both know where they stand with regards to a suitable offer, it's the papers that seem to be having trouble deciding.

Liverpool's failure this season has almost entertained me as much as Blues' success. I think they need some serious changes to avoid sinking into mid-table mediocrity; if we can get Babel out of it then I'd be well chuffed. The way things stand, McLeish and Rafa seem like polar opposites when it comes to getting the most of their players.

Again I think this is a journo just guessing and hoping. According to this report we are definately signing Babel for 10 mil, there are other reports in the press today saying we are definately signing McGeady for 14 million.

Things to consider...Torres is out for minimum 6 weeks, would they let Babel go without having a replacement? THere is no way we would sign both players this transfer window. There is no way we would pay 14 million for McGeady.

Without turning this into a McGeady thread, the Scottish Herald reckon our bid is around £8m. Much more believable if you ask me.

I've just posted on the Mc'gready thread the speculation that we might just be going for both Babel and Mc'gready along with Michel (£3m + £9M + £8m = £20m in transfers) plus wages! if that comes off the skys the limit for us, could our best hopes and dreams be coming true? :dancer:

All very interesting rumour and speculation.

I'd love to hear what Tatts has to say.

And don't we still need a striker, I think that's Eck's priority. Neither Babel or McGeady are strikers, they're both wide men aren't they.

I think Babel is a striker, at least he was until Rafa got hold of him.

Rafa, in his wisdom, prefers to play him on the left for Liverpool.

I would love to sign babel he is always overlooked at liverpool and looks totally peed off.
I think he would play regually for us and think he would have a new lease of life.
And i think he has lots to prove which i think he would and i would play him as a striker and give him the exposure he craves.

sign him up :banner:

Different profile stats on Ryan Babel give his position as Forward and Striker for Liverpool! :applause:

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/ryan-babel.html

Mc'gready can also score goals as a midfielder but then you have the choice of two from three in the embodiment of O'Connor, Jerome and Benitez where the latter two forwards are improving their games by the week!

I could put jam on it for you tomatoes BUT I'M NOT GONNA! :redcard:

Must agree, i live in Liverpool and the last people on earth that would have anything to do with The Sun are Liverpool FC, Players, Staff and Supporters.

Having said that even the Blue half of Merseyide do not read The Sun,

It is all dating back to the Hillsborough incident when The Sun accused and blamed it all on Liverpool fans.

I can tell you now if you have a copy of The Sun in Liverpool on you, be prepared for someone to ask you why are you buyin that rag......

If that is true which looks likely then it looks like he will be leaving as they are without Torres and aint taking him not wanting him to get injured.

:applause: Would be a class signing

He should never have gone there when Wenger wanted him.
