whilst studying the sky sports website i noticed the comments of my Babels agent

"His agent Winnie Haatrecht confirmed that Babel is now thinking over Birmingham's offer.

"Birmingham is still a possibility," he told The Sun.

"It would be simpler for Ryan to continue in the Premier League, a competition he knows well.

"We're actually studying an offer."

Hmmm has anyone told him we are premier league or what ?? :copno:

Yep, it is being written as a positive for us, as opposed to offers from abroad which are also being reported **thumbup

I actually really don't want Babel now...he is rubbish.

Liverpool have messed up his career and I doubt that it can be restored.

Id rather go for NZogbia who wants to come and play football for us. Quality Player who can trouble any defence.

Galatasaray have signed Jo from Man City so that's one less option for Babel.

Cannot believe some of the slagging off Babel is getting here

Where has he ever said he didn't want to join Blues in the first place ? ....is there actually a quote from the player ??

The truth is that Rafa Benitez made a smokescreen out of this when BCFC first made an enquiry and offer and in fact his agent did say Babel would like to speak to Blues after hearing he might be sold if any club increased the offer closer to the 11 million they paid for him

Rafa simply told the media he would not be sold and misquoted the player as well at a press conference.....the man is a liar

The truth is Benitez has a terrible record with player / man management.......Robbie Keane soon left Anfield as did Xabi Alonso and Craig Bellamy.....there's talk even Steve Gerrard and some of their top current players are unhappy with this manager

Babel is a world class player and deserves a chance elsewhere

I would love him at St Andrews and this would be without doubt the 'marquee signing' we are hearing about

Apart from Emile Heskey, how often do we sign players from Liverpool ???

That was a brief loan deal, mate and he only made two starts for us due to injury

Howard Gayle and Mick Halsall were the last two I can think of before Heskey

And that was way back in 1982-1983

With Mc'Leish alleged on a third offer of an extra £10,000 in personal terms with a guarantee to play him as a 'centre forward' the prospect of Ryan Babel lynched forward with Cameron Jerome on his left and Chucho Benitez on his right in a 4-3-3 formation does my head in! :applause:

i would well rather babel than all our other targets (strikers)

he is more gifted than pavly, boyd etc. plus he is versatile and has a massive point to prove to the spanis waiter.

People need to remeber a few things.

1. Babel is a striker, benitez tried to convert him into a winger.
2. Benitez has bought in an endless amount of players, the majority being flops mainly due to benitez playing them out of position
3. He plays Dirk kuyt as a winger.......hes played upfornt last couple of games and played really well
4. i honestly believe that rafa hasnt got a clue how to manage many players.
5. Babel was the hottest property on the planet when rafa purchased him and beat arsene wenger to him
6. if wenger bought him, imo, he wouldve been the next henry, and probably worth about 30 million.

Obviously this is my opinion but babel has all the attributes to be world class, and remeber hes a big lad, and isnt bad in the air. in my view hes got it all, he just needs the right guidance.

He's definitely better than Jerome, you could say that about him.
Plus he can be played wide, has pace to burn, but just doesn't look a 10m player to me. Oh well, if that's the going rate these days - but I still say we should wait till the summer.
