Why?

I think McLeish could maybe be waiting on any news with Jankovic whith rags saying we want to sign him now, and Liverpool now entered the race to have him on a free in the Summer.

Maybe Babel is McLeish's 2nd choice followed by Pavy.

Your confusing Janko and Jovanovic :P

No Forsell i am not....

I mean we are after Janković ....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milan_Jankovi...87_(footballer)

McLeish may feel he may just be to old though..... :fishing:

Anyway Forsell as you said i feel McLeish has someone else on his mind and that could be Janković :banghead: i mean Jovanovic or indeed Janko?

I guess thats why Tatts said Babel or Pavy could be a posibility, why possible if it seems Liverpool would let him go.... So could it be depending if Babel would come or depending if McLeish cant pull of a suprise signing first.

Maybe just paper talk but now Brucie wants him:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...Ryan-Babel.html

Seems to be a very limited amount of players available and everyone chases them.

Was on the Bham Mail Chelsea webchat with Tatts last night.

Tatts said that Alex is after 2 from Pav, Jones, N'Zogbia and McGeady.

Sounds like he has moved on from Babel.

Babel and Jones may be involved in a swop deal between Liverpool and Sunderland

I dont trust this report from the Daily Mail, the K Jones/Babel swop is old news which Bruce rejected out of hand when the Raffagaffa floated two such deals to get a marquee striker prior to the Anfield BU** **IT about the loan of Jones from Sunderland. After his fervent resolve to keep Jones I can't see Bruce now considering a swop of Kenwyn who was also upset by the rubbish tranfer talk coming out of Anfield for the controversal Babel..., :LMAO:

Is this more spin from the Raffagaffa through his Anfield croanies...? :ph43r:

kysports.com understands Liverpool have rejected a new bid from Birmingham for Ryan Babel.

The Blues have been tracking the Reds winger since the opening of the January transfer window but saw a reported £9 million bid rebuffed by the Merseyside giants at the start of the month.

Liverpool chief Rafael Benitez claimed Babelstill had an integral to play at Anfield, but the 23-year-old has made just one substitute appearance since City's offer.

Babel, who announced his displeasure at being left out of a recent Liverpool squad on Twitter before apologising personally to Benitez, was originally not keen on a move to St Andrews.
But the player's agent has since revealed the Dutch international had a change of heart, with the World Cup on the horizon, but it appears Alex McLeish's latest bid to lure the former Ajax star to the West Midlands has been shunned.

Ongoing

Blues could still bring Aruna Dindane to the Second City, however, despite reports that the deal has fallen through.

Dindane was in Birmingham on Friday after the Blues agreed a £4 million deal for the Ivory Coast marksman but the move was believed to have broken down due to the player's demands.

But skysports.com understands a deal for the Lens striker - on loan at Portsmouth - is not completely dead in the water and talks are still ongoing.

City are remain confident on signing Roman Pavlyuchenko despite seeing a substantial offer turned down by Tottenham on Friday

The Russian striker appears to be McLeish's number one target before Monday's deadline.

A new bid :D

it seems a bit of a scatter gun approach from Blues. we're knocking on a number of doors but being turned away by each of them.

personally i think this is removing our position of strength as we're not playing our hand very well are we? these teams are digging in their heels and we're not getting anywhere - frustrating!
