Before you guys on here acuse me of being boring or lacking humour, please take into account we have someone new here who is not yet accustomed to the unique sense of humour of some people on here.

Like I say I know you may be joking but to someone new some messages on here could appear to be less than polite and some blatantly rude.

Well said! Its not boring/humourless it's called being helfpul. Some people on here have definately come across as being blatantly rude! I know if someone asked me for directions to our stadium I wouldn't send them on a wild goose chase around Glasgow!

Thank you for your info though! No point in asking any other questions though if all I'm going to get is stupid replies!

If you do want to ask any questions please dont let a few silly replies put you off, or alternativley please feel free to personal message me and I will try my best to either answer or find out the answer if I dont know it.

And to those who replied to my initial 'humourless post' - maybe time to grow up a bit eh lads? Is it a wonder people join here but dont stay very long?

Maybe he can be our barry, we can share him

Lol as I said make the most of him!! I don't mind sharing him..for now. Although he'll never be back @ Rangers unfortunately his heart remains at Ibrox and he'll be back in Scotland. Would love him to be our manager one day!

Try our website in future Mrs F.
It has all the travel and directions you need. And please don't use bad language in your future posts, which I look forward to, because it upsets those of us with a sensitive nature.

Enjoy the match. **thumbup

Don't use bad language.

I intend to enjoy the match! Just hope I'm no sat anywhere near you!

With all due respect to Rangers fans. Your Barry!! Not any more he's not. He's ours, ALL OURS!! We've got him. He's playing fantastic for us giving us passing football at St Andrews.

We love him!!

Lol with all due respect to you..you clearly don't know the 1st thing about Barry Ferguson! If you did you'd know he bleeds blue - Rangers blue that is. A lifelong Gers fan, been with us since he was 15yrs of age, regularly attends our matches & his heart will ALWAYS ALWAYS be at Rangers Football Club.

I know he's playing well with you, I've never doubted his ability and was very upset when he was forced to leave us. I'm glad he's showing his real talent and I look forward to seeing him in March again!

PS You may love him but he loves US ;)

There are rumours about him coming back into the scotland fold. Must admit im not too sure how I feel about that. Being english and a blues fan I'd probably say I'd like to be selfish and have him just play for us **thumbup , not sure if he has the legs to play both international and domestic football? He has become a key player for us with Lee Bowyer, they have been awesome together this season.

if you came in via new street train station you could get a cab it would take 5 mins from the city center, but would be the most direct route, if your were anywhere in the city center cab would probably be best , brums not a big place but you could easily get lost there

As for Mrs F i dont know who youve been talking to about Birmingham fans but they are quite clearly ill informed. We welcome all visiting fans from other clubs following certain players or Big eck, best recent example would probably be Keith Faheys recent following from Ireland.

People were just having a laugh, dont take things too seriously.

I think brummies generally have a sense of humour that others dont get

What has happened to the irish lads? They seem to have gone quiet this season. Was great when they came down a couple of times last season. Shame we never got a friendly set up pre season between us and st patricks, would have been good

Yeah I'd say it's pretty likely Craig Levein will certainly ask him to play for Scotland. When he was Rangers I always wanted him to play only for us, although Scotland badly needed him. Barry's almost 32 so I'm not sure he'd cope with international & domestic footy either. BCFC pay his wages after all! I've seen a few Birm City games on the tv & Barry & Bowyer seem to be a good partnership. I'm glad he's doing well down there, sick of hearing how he couldn't "cut it in the Premiership" pile of nonsense spouted by bitter Celtic fans lol!

So it's true what I've heard about Birmingham City fans then? Better not open my mouth when I go to the game then, I mean what hope is there for me being Scottish? I suppose we're only supposed to like Scottish teams? Gosh I'm looking forward to my weekend now...NOT!

I absolutely guarantee it's not like that!

In fact, most of last season you often see people wearing Scottish shirts, hats etc in support of our manager. We are a friendly bunch, contrary to beliefs, and you Will be welcomed.

We also have a bag piper outside the kop on matchdays freezing his blue and White balls off.

Also I wasn't trying to be rude or anything I was actually trying to be friendly and semi humorous but it's difficult to get your intention across using words on a screen! I hope you have a great day down here. I have a couple of friends in Glasgow (all rangers fans) who are all pleasant people, and I'll be up in your fair city soon myself.

heels to a football match though? I wouldn't recommend that!

Thanks for the info! Taxi sounds to me the easiest option! Hopefully staying in the city centre so should be straightforward enough.

Could have something to do with Fahey not featuring as much this season as he did in the last half of last season, or they've moved on from Keith.

Time will tell eh! I've only ever been to St James's Park to watch Newcastle and the Geordies certainly made us feel welcome, so we'll see how the Brummies compare! I can't repeat what I've heard about Birm City fans or I'd get banned lol! I do often see the Scottish flag being waved amongst your support though and I've not heard of anyone dying at a game so I'm sure we'll cope! Just hope I don't end up in a section full of idiots!

I don't tend to take things seriously to be honest. Just didn't expect to be led up garden path when asking for info that's all. Lesson learnt!

No worries! Maybe the English humour is lost on me lol ;) I'm looking forward to my weekend in Birmingham I think? Just hope we get tickets & Barry's not injured! It'll be nice to see the place too of course.

You keep good company then if all ur pals are Gers fans  You going to a game when you are here?

Lol there is a very slim chance we're going to the players lounge after the game and I'm informed I need to dress smart (no gers tops lol) ..so hence the heels etc...maybe not though if we end up walking back!

You'll end up in a section full of moaners if half the messageboard here actually go to games.

Just go down open minded, take no notice of "what you've heard" (its not true btw, pm me if its that bad and id set your mind at ease I reckon), take no notice of others and look forward to the game in March :)

Welcome to the Forum. **thumbup

I must appologise for my fellow posters Mrs F, however im sure nobody tried to lead you down any garden path, its just Brummie humour, very ironic at times,...
in fact if I had been earlier to post I probably would have suggested you get an internal flight from New Street International to St Andrews International Airports,...see we all think the same

Your / Our Barry,..well personally and probably totally selfish i kinda hope he dont get picked for Scotland, at 32 I want him all for BCFC now.

You will have no probs having a good time at St Andy's, my scottish Rangers loving friend never has done in 25 years,..oh and he has got used to the humour now too

A lot of people say the same about Kris and I would love to add him to our little team.

By the way there really is quiet a large Scottish contingent within the Bluenoses, always has been.

Hope you enjoy your trip to the warmer parts of the country and hope your visit brings us luck!
