I don't tend to take things seriously to be honest. Just didn't expect to be led up garden path when asking for info that's all. Lesson learnt!

Welcome to the Forum. **thumbup

I must appologise for my fellow posters Mrs F, however im sure nobody tried to lead you down any garden path, its just Brummie humour, very ironic at times,...
in fact if I had been earlier to post I probably would have suggested you get an internal flight from New Street International to St Andrews International Airports,...see we all think the same

Your / Our Barry,..well personally and probably totally selfish i kinda hope he dont get picked for Scotland, at 32 I want him all for BCFC now.

You will have no probs having a good time at St Andy's, my scottish Rangers loving friend never has done in 25 years,..oh and he has got used to the humour now too

Hi thanks for that! Obviously I don't "get" Brummie humour  If you'd said to me about New St - St Andrew's at least I'd have had a chance og knowing u were at it!

I understand your feeling about Baz just playing for BC, I was the same when he played for us. I'm glad u all rate him so highly!

Lol I think I'll keep myself to myself at St Andrew's unless I'm sat beside some Scottish Rangers Fans!

I've read through this whole thread and I can only say that it has grown to 3 pages very quickly MAINLY because the bluenoses here have been so helpful and polite in helping, and that includes the good natured replies, said in humour. So well done Bluenoses, and welcome to the club Mrs F ;) PS. I lean towards Celtic, I hope that doesn't put you off ;) having said that, I'm delighted with how the blue half of the Old Firm have contributed to Birmingham so brilliantly this season. Well done Barry & Co!

A lot of people say the same about Kris and I would love to add him to our little team.

By the way there really is quiet a large Scottish contingent within the Bluenoses, always has been.

Hope you enjoy your trip to the warmer parts of the country and hope your visit brings us luck!

Don't you think you have enough good Scottish players? You are NOT, I repeat NOT, getting Boydy!! Rumour has it he's signing a new £18k week contract with Rangers by the weekend. Let's just hope he does! Boydy like Baz is a lifelong Ger and wouldn't want to leave Rangers unless he was forced.

First I've heard of there being a Scottish contingent among BC fans, mind you I knew nothing about that until Barry went there I have to confess!

Don't think you need me to visit to bring you luck btw they're doing very well these days! I'm looking forward to my visit and a good night out after the footy lol!

You lean towards Celtic? You have my sympathy! Thought it was Aston Villa fans that like Celtic? Martin "The Saviour" O Neill & all that!

You wouldn't be where you are if it wasn't for the Blue half of the Old Firm! Baz & Eck always a good team!

Liked rangers since 96ish with mcoist (last couple of years he was there)

I must admit on question of sport I thought he was not very funny, but on the pitch awesome

Mrs Ferguson - if you want to meet Barry, I'm sure Pooley can arrange it..........he's our resident autograph hunter.

If you are flying down, will that be before the day of the game, or on the day?

If it's before then you'll pass near the ground on the way to the city centre and you will get a good idea of it's locality with respect to the city centre.

If it's on the day then you'll be able to bus it to the ground.

As for Celtic, I only half support them. And Birmingham, as far as I know, isn't divided along lines according to the Old Firm - at least as far as I know. This subject came up before and that was the conclusion on these boards, at any rate...

The above answer also applies Lowdham. I don't believe Birmingham supporters are or ever were divided along sectarian lines, and me neither. At least, I hope not. The fact that O'Neill and McLeish have renewed their Old Firm rivalry does confuse the issue a bit, but I would contend that their loyalties now are strictly Birmingham related, not Glasgow.

Ooooh can he now? He kept that one quiet :P! Or is that Brummie "humour" again? I've never met Baz and I'm a Season Ticket holder for THE SCOTTISH CHAMPIONS! I just can't be bothered standing like a 14yr old schoolgirl waiting to speak to players! I have a contact who may arrange for players lounge access for us after the match and if it happens I'd hope to meet Baz there. Failing that he could be on my flight lol!

We're flying down the day before so we can make a weekend of it. Hope Birm has good nightlife! I just hate not knowing where I'm going. Why can't every city be like Glasgow, we have a subway stop right at our ground!!

Yes, the McLeish - O'neill rivalry is a Brummie thing now.

I always have related Alex McLeish to Aberdeen. Likewise I have always related Martin O'Neill to Nottingham Forest.

I'm not remotely interested in rivalry between O'Neill and McCleish! Big Eck's the man, never liked McCleish for obvious reasons! My trip to Birm is an excuse for a weekend away...a new city..a new footy team..Barry Ferguson & a good time! Unfortunately the last 2 are not connected  !

It has all the travel and directions you need. And please don't use bad language in your future posts, which I look forward to, because it upsets those of us with a sensitive nature.

Enjoy the match.  **thumbup
