I got proper excited watching the FA Cup draw, even though I knew we still had to beat Forest to play whoever we were drawn against. But when we were drawn against Everton, my heart sank abit ... A tiny bit credited to the fact that I went to Goodison a few weeks ago and I wanted to go somewhere we wouldnt usually have the chance to visit, but another reason I was abit gutted was because im pretty sure Everton are going to want to prove a point against us after alot of the fans I spoke to claimed we were very lucky to get a goal in the game, let alone a point! I wouldnt have been so miffed if we would have been drawn at home, but going back to Goodison is going to be one hell of a tough fixture by anyone's standards... After seeing them against Man City yesterday, they look a completely different side from the one we played only a few weeks ago, and much more like the Everton we have become accustomed to seeing in recent years. They were creative, very very decisive attacking play, and theyre bringing a whole new dimension into this game down the right-hand side in the form of Landon Donovan who is already looking like a great acquisition, after being one of their best players against Arsenal and Man City, meaning Ridgewell is going to have his work cut out for him... I hope that the fact we didnt play yesterday doesnt hinder the performance of our boys on Saturday, and I would love to see Mcleish go full strength and try to get at them! I dont think many teams, if any have had a harder draw than us in alot of ways, but as they say youve got to beat the best to be the best ... But I would love for us to beat them, and then if we get drawn a fairly beatable team in the round after, we could go on to cause quite a storm... :Blues: |

Everton are still going to put the League above the cup until they pull away a little further so i don't expect a full strength Everton. It is a cup game so anything can happen. Have faith in us nicking it 0-1 with 5 minutes to go. Then we will get drawn against Chelsea away..... :D |
