I've noticed this season that he's been scoring a fair share of goals in the academy and the reserves. From watching the Blues Player highlights, he looks a real handful. Naturally big lad, decent touch and a good finish and looks a lot older than 18.

Anyone else been down to watch him or have any comments about him?

Do you think there's a chance he could be involved in the first team within three years or so?

Looks like he wants locking in a pantry for a week, as my dad would say. I haven't seen him yet, but if we don't sign a quality striker this month, then he may well figure this season.

6 foot 4 and only 12 and a half stone, seriously needs to get in the gym to bulk up.

Yep, but he is only 18. At that age you are still growing, plenty of time to put on some muscle.

Looks like he could be a really good prospect. Let's hope so.

Very difficult to say yet, but he handles himself reasonable well, is hot afraid to get involved, worries defences at reserve level, and, as you say, has scored a few. Another years time I would think before we know.

He's young though, and you dont want an extra 3 stone on you when you can run fast.

Isn't Crouch only just over 11 stone at 6 foot 7?

Excellent news for Jake. I think one thing we've really been missing over the last decade or so is nurturing through youth players to the first team.

Hopefully he'll get a chance to shine and he'll take it!

Well done Alex for putting him in the squad.

Some encouraging words from Malky Thompson.

Good luck Jake.

I really rate Malky Thomson, he has been a breath of fresh air since he took over the youngsters recently. Nice to see an early product of his very positive coaching style. All the best to Jake J, hope he gets a chance to show what he can do, after we are 3-0 clear tomorrow.
