Football Speak; have you noticed/

have you noticed how football managers...players,and pundits use the same expressions?

example ..they start a sentece by saying no,and then say something positive!


e.g tonight on bbc1...the commentator says...richards rode thar chanllenge well...
his fellow commentator says....no,he did!

then they all talk about ...this football club...in the past they would just talk about the team or the club!


thing is...am i making sense here?? :rolleyes:

They usually crack a bit of a joke, smile, then get serious and say "nah we played well.." they touch their face a lot as well.

Crouch usually scratches the side of his nose just after he's asked a question, I reckon the other lads have bets on how many times he does it
