I'm getting a bit fed up of reading peoples wish lists on here. I'm only interested to read about players Blues are linked with. Instead I keep reading posts saying for eg. Why don't we go for ------ I'm not really interested in reading about pepoles wish lists and am fed up of wasting my time opening such posts. Is it possible to have a separate forum for this. Or if people would put 'my wish' in the title description. |

I think the wish list section should be subdivided into reallistic and speculative prospects. Each of these subsections should then be split into "contentious" and "non-contenscious". I think a further segregtion of these sub-subsections of players "over 6'1"" and "6 foot and under" would also be a good time saving exercise for forum users. |

**thumbup I keep up to date with Newsnow, so I know who we are actually linked with, so differentiating between the reported stuff and the bullsheet isn't a problem. |

I think we need a Winger either a more natural one who is potentially better than Larsson but can play LM, or a pacey player. Then a Striker be that a pacey player, or big target man, they would have to be pretty prolific we need someone who can bang goals in the back of the net at a bare minimum of double our current Strikers ratios. After that maybe another Striker, a Utility player (Gardener) should do the trick. We may not need to sign like 2 wingers, or 2 CM or even sign any fallbacks this season. Babel or Pavy £10M (if Pavy then based on £7-8M plus addons) Johnson £5M plus Phillips Gardener £3M plus addons £4-5M total. And maybe Gudjohnson for £2.5M should be enough this season. |

I reckon that a thread title should contain the word 'Target', to reflect that this is actually a reported target (ie: 'Target: Craig Gardner'), or 'Suggestion' (or something similar) to reflect that this is just someone that the poster wants us to sign. That way I can read all the former and not have to waste time reading the 'We should go after Thierry Henry' type of threads. |

The problem is that posters have different ideas about what constitutes a good source and therefore who is an actual potential target. That being said if I want to post about a player only on my 'wish list' in future I will probably try and make it clear thats the case in the sub-title. |

jhatton_934 babel or pavelychenko did not come on because they are as good as sold from there clubs as far as the managers are concerned. Blues should stick with there 9M for Babel, as Liverpool want money, Benitez needs to sell to buy. :Blues: |

Babel has potential but i worry its gonna cost us a fair amount in wages £60-70K maybe, well certainly he will want £10-15K more than his Liverpool wages however much that is. McLeish plans to use him as a Striker but then on the wings he could work well but only as attacking winger/forward as part of a 3 man attack, maybe Benitez on the other playing off a Striker. As soon as Babel is played wide midfield like a McFadden is now or as soon as he does not get games, or asked to track back i fear he will throw his toys out of the Pram. Babel is a better standard Quincy/Kapo and those kinds of players do not defend they like to be given freedom to attack and play more upfront say Striker or wide men as part of a 3 man attack as soon as they are asked to play a more natural wide position and thus expected to spend just as much time in our half as the opponents well these kinds of players will become unhappy and little effective. In defence i feel McLiesh has more confidence in our defence and central midfield to not be bothered about attacking players lack of defence or work rate when they dont have the ball. |
