Would you play him from the start or introduce him as a sub? :ball:

That's a no-brainer for me.

Bring him on as a sub but the timing would depend on how the game is going.

Do you think Alex might have a role for him and this "same line up" thing will prevent him from using him straight away?

Depends on what McLeish sees as this priorities. I can well imagine Michel getting a start tomorrow tbh. Would also be nice to see JJ get some gametime aswell.

I think he should be bought on whatever the score or however the game is goin...

If we need to hold a lead, bring him on in a defensive role, and use him to help soak pressure infront of the defense, and then release a striker with a through-ball as we switch to a more counter-attacking outlook if we were winning say 1-0 or 2-1...

Then if were chasing a 1-0, 2-0, bring him on and let his creativity flow in a more attacking role, playing just behind the strikers looking to play them in at any opportunity

By starting the "same" line up it might make it too predictable and too easy for Moyes.

Introduce him as a sub, no need to change the starting line up and tbh i don't know if Mcleish will even bring him on it tends to be Larsson or Mcfadden that get replaced late on and I doubt Mcleish will play Michel out wide.

Name the same 11, it aint broke so why fix it????

Michel has got plenty of time to get used to being in a "foreign" team and country, brilliant thing is Blues can just ease him in now the threat of relegation has been buried.

We can all now sit back and enjoy the season and see what develops.

But saying that id love to see Forsell getting a start after being out for so long.

I thinck it will be very hard for Michel to get into is natural position this season even as a sub because the majority of blues wins have had a nervy last 5 mins so we need prem experience in midfeild so i think he will be playing wide if he comes on

It would be a waste to play him wide. His creativity should come from the centre of the park rather than restricting it to one side or the other.

And how many teams have we played twice in that time (apart from Forest)?

I'm sure every team we've played along the way has known the line up from the previous game though... They'd have known exactly what to expect...

So Moyes will know our strengths and weaknesses? And he has new players who were injured a few weeks back.

but by playing him out wide (for the first game or two) you give the lad a chance to get involved without causing too much damage. then move him into the centre when hes a bit more idea of whats going on

Starting him might be risky. I've no doubt about the lad's quality and ability to adapt but I wonder if it's too soon for that. In an FA Cup match when we've designs on a good run and need to hit the ground running, I'd look at feeding him in after an hour or so.

Of course he may prove himself to be a star in the making immediately, in which case I would be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Everton away no way should he start! SHould get no more than 20 minutes max as Everton especially away will be like dropping him straight into the deep end.
