Brilliant work for both of the goals, hopefully ITV will do him justice tonight. It's been a while coming but he looked great today.

Mcleish said when he bought him to the club that he was gonna be a great player to have other plays working around him because of his ability to pick a pass and create something...

He impressed me from start to finish, he looked like a regular starter today, you wouldnt be able to tell it was his first 90 minutes in the league this season (I think)..

Hes only gonna keep improving, well KF!

He gave a reminder of what he can do today... We have real competition for places in midfield now with the 4 that have been playing so well in the league, then Fahey, Michel and Gardner...

Remember his goal against Notts? Absolutely class! Im still pretty adamant that it was a shot and not a cross!

If i remember correctly he scored the first goal in the 2-1 win over Reading at the Madejski aswell didnt he?

:applause:

Also, I say to my brother at every game. does anyone else think from a distance Fahey looks EXACTLY like Ferguson? Lol

The guy oozes class. When he's good he's brilliant. Yet he's one of those players that goes missing when he isn't getting a lot of the ball though. Even so, he's one of my favourite players. Very much in the mould of Bryan Hughes, Jason Bowen and Jonathon Hunt (for those that remember them)

Re-read it and give yourself time before jumping to completely incorrect conclusions.

Back in the days when we was rubbish..... some players stood out like shining beacons,
Jonathon Hunt was one along with at different times Steve Whitton, Mark Ward and Nigel Gleghorn. :bluzz:

im not jumping to anything. i just read a topic a few days ago and there was a few people saying keith is a championship player and not good enough ect ect... now everyone saying he is class.. im just saying that i seen keith play lots of times in ireland and i know he is class. he should be taking those free kicks around the box too cause ive seen a few good chance's wasted and keith would prb have stuck it in the top corner.

Great analogy and description **thumbup

When involved he's brilliant and if he can cut out the times he goes 'missing' Fahey could be top class.
That's the big one, and is what stopped Hunt, Hughes, Dillon................etc from becoming top class.
Fingers crossed that Fahey wont go the same way.

Yesterday Fahey was highly instrumental in both goals and the team seem even more balanced with him in the team and McFad playing slightly behind Benitez. Jerome could find it hard getting back in against Chelsea with yesterday's team deserving to remain unchanged - except for the subs bench having another new midfielder **thumbup

Fahey is one of the best signings we have made in a longlong time .Reminds me of a more consistant Brian Hughes. Its a big ask on him and his body to adjust to League of Ireland, Championship and Premiership football in the space of a year but in the 2nd half of the season i can see him being an important cog in the McCleish machine!

From ITV's coverage of the best match in the fourth round you would have not known Fahey played, mind you would have missed the whole thing if you had blinked. Pathetic coverage. Not non factual and silly like MotD, but just far too short for such a great match.
