im not jumping to anything. i just read a topic a few days ago and there was a few people saying keith is a championship player and not good enough ect ect... now everyone saying he is class.. im just saying that i seen keith play lots of times in ireland and i know he is class. he should be taking those free kicks around the box too cause ive seen a few good chance's wasted and keith would prb have stuck it in the top corner.

I see your point Tizzy, there was a thread like that the other day - but at the same people that are on here now leapt to Fahey's defence and said he is a class act, he just needs game time.

Fahey is a class footballer and has been a great signing for us. The current starting 11 have been unbelieveable on their 15 game unbeaten run but if a sub has had to be used then Fahey has usually been the player to come on. That is reflection of how good a player he is. Will cause Alex food for thought after yesterday's performance about stepping up for a starting place.

The comment about him going missing a bit might have something to do with us playing him wide in most of the games we play 4-4-2. Earlier in the season when we were playing 4-5-1 with Fahey in the centre with Ferguson he was excellent. I can't help feeling that centre midfield is his best position and in time he will succeed Ferguson in that role for us.

It is great to see young talented players like Fahey in our team. Hopefully we will soon be singing the praises of Michel and Gardner in the same vein.

Let your heart beat strong and all that. :applause:

these are the itv converage highlights if you're interested. there was so much more build up to the goals, there were about 5 fantastic passes before each goal.

Ive said from day 1 that he has got a cracking shot on him...

He is due a goal for his hard work, if Jerome stays out, which he may do against Chelsea, and Faddy occupys the 2nd striking slot then we may see Fahey start again on the left...

He is a great player

He is a player who doesnt panic when he receives the ball is able to buy himself a bit of time. He had a good season last year. This year because of the consistency of the team we havent see too much of him. However when he has came on he has done a job. He was well worth a contract extension.

When it came I commented on the thread that I hoped he would played with a little more intention and ambition. I wanted him to give McLeish a bit of a problem make sure he and the rest of the team knew what he could do. This would also mean the rest of the team Ferguson, McFadden and Bowyer knew they had to maintain their high standards they cant take their positions for granted. Team spirit and unity is a great this but there is no reason why Fahey shouldnt be putting himself in with a shout of the first team line up. We dont want any prima donnas. The best 11 play and that's it.

He did this very well yesterday he expressed himself and he and Birmingham reaped the rewards. Great performance really well done Keith.
