He came straight on and put the foot in, that caused a turn-over, which started a break, that led to Cahill fouling Bowyer on the edge of the area. Yellow card and a free kick in a very dangerous position.

Good debut for the lad, and I was left very excited/very hopeful about the prospects of his future.

He looks a good prospect, didnt shy away from physical challenges, won a few balls, chased a few balls...

People will now expect to see more of him this season, and moan if McLeish doesnt give him any more run outs no doubt... but the reality is, he's still developing at Academy level... so he'll probably go straight back into there and not be in the first team again, especially once Jerome's fit and if we sign a new striker.

i saw him in a reserve game at villa once go round stuart taylor and hit the post from a yard out. from that moment on i knew the lad would make the grade. :whistle:

hes rapid blud

he also has a sprinters build. I imagine as time goes by he wil stock up to be able to hold defenders off etc and sacrifice some speed for that
