Hanson on Wednesdays match - be a low scoring match with Chelsea edging it.. i think we can still get something from the match.. hopefully Jerome will be back..

City have not managed to defeat Chelsea for 30 years. The last occasion was a 5-1 home league win in the old Divison Two back in March 1980. In fact, Birmingham did the double over the West Londoners that season with a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge in September 1979. Cliff Richard was number one in the charts with ‘We don’t talk anymore’. Jim Smith was the victorious Birmingham manager but this home defeat for Chelsea ended Danny Blanchflower’s managerial reign as he was replaced five days later by 1966 World Cup hero Geoff Hurst. I don’t see a repeat of that win this week as although Birmingham are playing superbly, Chelsea are too and their superior firepower should just give them the edge.

Think thats a good assumption and we will probably see our run come to an end but it doesn't worry me, we have been fantastic this season and slogged it out with the big boys and ave almost reached the magic number of 40 points. A great season no matter what happens!

It's amazing how far we have come. We would have been considered cannon fodder at the beginning of the season, and now we are going to be really disappointed not to get something at Chelsea!

I also read this and to be honest its a completely fair look on the game. At the start of the season we would have liked to keep the score down however as Hanson has pointed out a wonder strike or mistake may settle this game. For people to suggest a very narrow Chelsea win is a sign of how far we have come to be fair.

At the beginning of the season you would have been happy with a corner..
But now you never know, I'm going to make a big effort to try and go to the game as I'm working pretty close

Come ON!!!!!!!

I was there!

Lower tier of that 3 tier monster stand, the 1st one they got developed. There were about 200 of us seated right amongst the Chelsea fans. God only knows how we got out there alive!

What's all this contentment with a narrow defeat and how far we have come?

A narrow defeat is zero points is failure. I will not be happy with anything less than a draw.

May I suggest that those happy with any type of defeat should take their support to Molyneux.

I may have been critical - and will remain so if something warrants criticism - but never negative. Brad, don't mix up criticism with negativity. As for being positive, I always have been. **thumbup

I think we're in the same boat. I was very critical of Mcliesh last season and at the start of this season, for obvious reasons. But im glad he's on his way to proving us and other fans wrong **thumbup

I'll be happy to come away from there without us getting a right tonking, can't see us getting anything from this one and see it as the end of our run, but here's hoping we can snatch a point. :)

Just looked at the BBC preview, apparently our last league game was a 1-1 DEFEAT to Manchester United.
