My mate picked up Derby tickets from Pride Park today.

Pick of the seats apparently. They have sold just 15,000.

Can't understand that, 5th round, local'ish derby, I know we're not the biggest team around but that's poor.

No

The ticket office girl said "Derby had sold 15,000 and 10,000 left. The centres are filling up but the wings are empty".

We got 3 together in West Stand Block L - that is the equivalent to our Club Class in the Kop.

Apparently, including last night, Derby have 4 home games in ten days.

I hope we get an early goal, followed by a quick fire second for us, then we'll definitely dominate the singing and have a good day out.

When are things ever that easy for Blues though

I'm surprised they haven't done better with sales especially with the ticket pricing and playing a major premiership side, from the Midlands.

Also, they must fancy their chances, so yea, quite surprised. Must be that their ST holders don't see it as such a big game to pay extra for?

I remember some comment from the Derby camp when the draw was made along the lines of they felt it was a tie they couldn't win against "uninspiring" opposition. If that's their general feeling it's not a surprise that their ticket sales are low.

But they've been gettin over 30K gates for years now, and look where they've been. Was it 8 points they got when they went down a couple of seasons ago.

As much as I hate to say it, I think that's pretty good goin, and put's us to shame in that aspect. All I can put it down to, is most of their support consists of ST holders and they don't feel inspired to pay the extra for the cup game - but that still surprises me at whats at stake. The p*sser is, we could have took thousands more for this one.

Sorry, wrong info. It did include ours.

My nephew is not playing football tomorrow so I have just rang Derby to get him a ticket. He's got a seat next to ours, that was easy.

The ticket office told me Derby have sold 11,000 and Birmingham 5,500 making 16,500 total.

If you look over the past decade or so Derby's gates are no better than ours, the past 3 seasons is down to the fact they sold a lot of season tickets by offering good deals when they reached the prem which is why your point about their points total is irrelivant as the seats had already been sold. They also kept almost all their s/t holders when they were relegated by looking after them unlike our last lot, its all about s/t's nowadays without good sales you will get c..p crowds it really is that simple.
