Good call, instead of Jerome! That gets my vote...I bet his goals per chance ratio is a lot higher.

Every post i can remember which you've posted is having a pop at Jerome. Get behind him, he is arguably the best we have at the moment!

Well it's true! We only have Philips,Jerome and Benitez! and O'Connor when he gets back!

We're not exactly blessed with a great attack force, each player has their faults.

He's been better than could be expected at left back but he's not even going to start in that position for us next season.

He isn't a natural left back.

He has done brill for us in that position, but he came into as a make-do and said he'd play anywhere as long as he played. He's kept it as his own for obvious reasons.

Liam is going to be a man-for-all-seasons-and-positions for us. **thumbup

He does a job for us at left back but against quality players he gets caught out alot positional play etc so in the world cup he would be seriously out of his depth, however at least u know he would put his body on the line to stop the ball more than some England players will do!!

I don't think he's a threat to the England left back position... I would say Bridge, Baines and Warnock would be ahead of him...

I do however think he has made massive improvement in the position since he's played there... To think he came in after a broken leg with no reserve games behind him and into a new position he deserves a lot of credit...

He's been getting forward to good effect recently too and has got 2 crucial goals...

Andy Wood - do you present the fishing programme on TalkSport?

Quality and some good bites too.

On the outside remotist of all distant chances he does get the replacement call-up for A.Cole then I hope he has a nude photo of himself on his phone.

I suppose it all depends on what John Terry thinks of his missus!

And as far as the striker issue is concerned, it's an inescapable fact that CJ doesn't hit the target often enough and couldn't trap a bag bloody sand sometimes. However, it is also true that he is the best we've got which says it all.

As much as I admire any player in our history making side he isnt good enough for England. Glen Johnson tore him a part at Anfield.

He has worked hard and played well this season and been part of a succesful side. But we cant make players out to be something they arent. He isnt England class.

I think somethings missing here, could it be a sense of humour? :)

Turning in to the new Stern John with these last minute goals, I liked this quote

"The official pre-match teamsheet recognised Liam Ridgewell as 'Liam Ridewell', but if Derby didn't know him well enough to spell his name right before kick-off, they were certainly more aware of him at the final whistle. "
