Blues vile semi or final, well maybe im being slightly presumptious but if we can God willing see off paupers pompey, then i would expect the vile to see of off the tesco carrier baggers and before that palace.

In theory then, a fair chance for us v the 12 toer's at wembo come april or may.

Now im not one for a ruck as im far too good looking, but its gonna kick off big time one would think. Thousands of blues and vile travelling potentially on the same trains from New St. Street fighting outside the ground, blues score a 90th minute winner and just as the millenium stadium, blues fans run on to the pitch to celebrate.

I can see the headlines now "Brums Shame" "Birmingham cost England any chance of World Cup"

Sadly the violence is inevitable IMO. You don't look for it but sometimes it can find you.

I don't see anyway it can be overted. The Mail and all and sundry like the mayor can say we are representing our city, and should behave accordingly, but alas this rivalry runs deep into the souls of men, it makes blood boil and temperatures rise. A right royal pressure cooker of an occasion.

Watch out cockneys you wont know whats hit ya! :banner:

wba and villa also gets a bit tasty with idiots.

Policing for the cup final or semi will be more than usual so anyone stupid enough to try anything deserves to ave the book thrown at them for being stupid as well as an idiot. Our club has a bad rep, this would be a fantastic way to show the world the majority of us are good decent people and not idiotic lulus

If tvilla wba end up playing, and on a different day to us I might try and pop down to occupy the baggy end help their support create a bit of noise against the vile

In the Blues-Villa SF scenario it would be interesting who gets their way.
The Police - would want an early (noon latest) KO.
The TV - would want Sat or Sun teatime.

It would be impossible to have a Noon kick-off with the amount of travelling time involved/number of fans travelling. I can't even comprehend Blues v Villa in an FA Cup semi!

Well, lets hope we don't play them then.

Plus, lets not count our chickens....Portsmouth have some very good players, and on their own patch with that bloody annoying bell ringing all the time (which winds me up) they'll fancy their chances of beating us.

Totally agree. Given all the goings on and the fact they could go out of business. They are playing with their backs to the wall this makes them doubly dangerous.

We will have to be at our very best to make sure they dont get a go at us.
Just keep the shut out mentality going. Scrape a win or a draw will do and get them back to St Andys where we can have a good go at them.

It's not guaranteed Vile will even beat palace... With it being played a few days before the Carling Cup final O'Neill will surely play a much weakened team so if Palace play anywhere near like they did yesterday they will surely have a good chance of beating them...

Agreed. I feel Vile rely too much on Agbonlahor's pace...take him out the side and they look far less dangerous.

I have had a couple of conversations about this with Blues fans
and 12 toers.
The amount of people who would go to Landan just for the occasion and to make a weekend of it (without tickets) would be huge.

There will be approx 90,000 Brummies at the game, and possibly the same amount
in not more all around the smoke watching.

Imagine a quater of a million Brummies descending on the capital they wouldn't know
what had hit it.

all ifs and buts at the moment... vile have to see off a spirited palace side and then either reading or the baggies... we too have to beat a pompey side that seem to be saving their best performances for the cup!!

I am too long a blues fan to start counting my chickens!! What will be will be....

This, as well as a few others, really is a pointless thread.
We have an extremely difficult away game before we should even be thinking about the semi final - we're not good enough to be counting our chickens & writing off Pompey's chances.

How is it a 'pointless thread'? This could quite easily happen. No-one is taking Pompey lightly. If you read a lot of the replies say that its by no means a 'given' that we will make it through.

How about this scenario then?

What if....... Pompey get wound up in the upcoming court case over the 7.5 million quid owing to the tax man.

Will we get a BYE into the Semi final.?

Before someone tells me, I agree it's probably unlikely that they'll get wound up, but it's possible.
