....and if he could only put some of these chances he's getting he'd be a very good Premier League striker. Thinking of the one against West Ham and then against Derby.

I don't think it's hate with Jerome but it's more to do with frustration. He works so hard to get himself into positions and then simply does not have the end product. But then again he does because when he scores goals like he did against Liverpool we see that he does have a strikers instinct, I just can't understand how he can miss so often or allow his control to let him down so badly.

The frustration is that we have a 20+ goal striker that just needs to sort out a vital part of his game.

When he has confidence, and relies on his instincts, he can finish, and looks bloody good (the Blackburn home game is always the example I use... he scored early on, and then he was taking first touches round their full backs and running down the line, whipping good crosses in, then finished his second one brilliantly).

Haters is a bit strong, questioners is probably more fitting.

Your in the wrong place if you dont want to read about people questioning a players abilities. It has been happening on here since this forums been around and its predecessors before it, i am sure it will be going on as long as the forum is here and football is around.

i wouldnt go as far as to say hate, but most definatly frustraighted one major problem is consistancy and at times it just seems like he is to dam lazy to chase the ball

we all know what he can do i just think he isnt really cut out for the premier league and without the imput of benitez he wouldnt have half of the goals he has this season,

alot of people on this message board get on benitez back saying he should be scoring more but in his defence benitez does create most of jeromes goals but i dont see jerome doing it in return imo

No sure how many goals Jerome has, I think its about 5 but i can only think of one created by Chucho.
Goal v Blackburn corner headed back across goal by Chucho

Goal v Blackburn was a cut back from Carr,
Goal v Liverpool came from a headed clearence by one of our defenders
Goal v Man U came from a corner which Evans failed to clear
Goal v Stoke came from a corner which was knocked down in the box

Theres an article in the Mail showing how much he wants to fight for this team, Cameron Jerome isn't lazy.

I'm very much one of Cam's biggest fans, but I do get frustrated with him sometimes because he has it within him to be so much more clinical with his final ball. Maybe he rushes himself when his confidence isn't all there.

Jerome is one of 11 players who have produced a run that NO Birmingham City side have achieved before.

Kind of unfair on the 1970-1972 team though .....the start of the Penguin Era

That team went 36 home games without defeat ....spanned a period of almost 2 years **thumbup

And let's not forget any Blues team presently or in the near future will only truly achieve greatness if we can beat the League position of the 1956 side who finished 6th in the top flight that season

That has to be the goal

The current team have done superbly well, no denying that...........but winning a major trophy or finishing higher than 6th in the top flight has to be the ultimate goal

It's took a long time for me to admit it, but after waiting so long for my faith in them as strikers to materialise, I'm afraid I must conceed that CY and CB are not going to be the stikers that will elevate Blues to where we want and now expect the team to be. :banghead: They still have 3 months to secure their place in the squad, but I now doubt the will do it.

CB on passed performance is not worth the 7m it will take to keep him, and CJ has never lived up to the potential he displayed at Cardiff, and both in partnership this season have had enough time to demonstrate any contract capacities.

We may have to let them both go in favour of two front man (KP style) strikers in order be the Premier team we almost are!

Early days still for Chucho!

Boyd and Pav. if we can secure them both in the summer may do it for us! :applause:

I can't realise any required potential in the SPL M'Cready, but then again, what do I know?
