Disappointed to see people who bought their Season Tickets earlier are getting further priority. I paid more for my Season Ticket than they did and they get earlier priority. "no"

It makes me laugh how the ST holders only make a journey out of Birmingham when EON are subsidising the prices.

5,500 at Derby at £20 and £5 kids.
4,500 at Forest the same.

Where have they been all season at the proper prices? Skinflints.

I just hope the Final is £60 to £110.

Yeah people who buy season tickets are skinflints :LMAO:

we haven't sold out once this season so shouldn't really be a problem... we should get 27k at least so I would imagine all season ticket holders will get one and then those who have been to games?

Well I'm still hoping to get a ticket to the cup match.

If I can't get one, I'll be at the ground, trying to get into the home end, if I can't get into the home end, I'll be in a pub just outside the ground, watching on the tele :D

Its because they Brought them early that the club could budget for players etc. The earlier you buy your season ticket the better it is for the club. So thats why they are rewarded

Oh and what happened to the 25% FA Cup allocation rule? I know Pompey is a hell hole but I'm sure it holds more than 12,000.

the allocation rule is 15% of all accomodation for which tickets are issued, providing the tickets are in a fully segregated area.
blues also receive 50 complimentary tickets and one third of reserved seats known as home and visiting directors seats up to a maximum of 24 seats.
disabled fans are allowed 15% of the disabled accomodation.
gate receipts are 45% to each club and 10% to the pool for prize money etc.
and as a matter of interest the ref gets £375-00 match fee.
all this taken from the fa official pages.

It rewards the clubs most loyal of supporters, those that pay into the club year in, year out. Perfectly correct imo.

You think so, I bought 2 season tickets on 8th March, when I asked about the Away Travel Club which were missing from my package, they told me I was not in the first 1,000..........(bull) they made a few errors there........I went to,Forest,Everton and Derby (row2 every time) doubt I'll get one now.....what ever happens there are always errors, and the most deserved dosen't alway get them.

I'm afraid not. Last season Everton got 25,000 tickets for the final. Don't forget that the FA cup is the unfairest of competitions as it gives relatively small numbers to fans of the clubs in comparison to others. I read an article that they give 40,000 to the 'football family' which added to the 50,000 club tickets would be capacity. However I can't see that being correct as the guys and gals that own the seats in the various Wembley season tickets get the seats regardless, unless the 17,000 of them are included in the 40,000?!

Anyway it's a long way off at the moment.

cup final ticket allocation has always seemed unfair, but what you have to remember is that it is the FAs competition and as such members are allowed tickets. even works football teams have to pay to the FA and wether we like it or not it is part of their organisations day out and so they have a chance to attend.the only way it could have been fair was to build a new stadium near the NEC and make the capacity 160,000 and give each club 50,000 tickets.that would satisfy most clubs, but they didnt.
incidently every club gets an allocation of final tickets every year and to my knowledge only liverpool send their allocation back if they are not in it, so that tickets can go to the supporters of the clubs involved. if more clubs including blues and albion did that there would be more tickets to go round.

ticket details just been sorted 3000 tickets £25 not too bad, i think it is bad the way they are being sold season ticket holders who brought there season tickets before march 2009 and then all other season ticket holder. not that i care cus im a ATC member.

It should be based on how many away games season ticket holder have been to, like they used.

:banner:

why?

How much does the club make from away tickets sold? How much does the club sell from seasn tickets sold?

A family of four (2 adullts, 2 kids) could quite easily pay the club £1200 a year, guarented at the start of the year.

Season ticket holders are always viewed (rightly) as the lifeline of the club, and therefore recieve extra benifits as a result. This is something we all knew would happen at the start of the season.

ATC, ST goes without saying. But how will they handle those that are next? There shouldn't be any excuse for not being fair - they have 21st Century IT and should know how many tickets I or anybody else have bought this season.

The Derby arrangements peed me off a bit, because when they went on sale after the ST holders time limit they arranged for in person only with no credentials..........so Jo Bloggs the Walsall fan could have walked up a bought one whereas those of us who live many, many miles away had no chance - yet we have been to many games.

I hope they will get ir right. ATC and ST is easy, it's how they treat the remaining loyal supporters.

I dont see why its such a issue

everyone knows at the start of the season if we make it to wembley or similar season ticket holders get first choice to buy tickets.

I know someone who never asked for the free away travel club membership so she missed out when renewing her season ticket so she bought one after to guarentee herself a ticket for the villa game away.

I bought a season ticket last season even though I had to work evey other weekend without the facility to book a weekend off work holiday therefore if my wekend in work co-incided with a home game I had to miss it, I missed about 5 home games - I still had a season ticket knowing if we ended up in the play offs and get to the final I'd get a ticket.

You know the score at the start of the season, so why did you not get a season ticket? Your the one who was shouting about there being "no ******* recession" on page 1 of this thread so you cant use money as an excuse...you cant use distance as an excuse because I know someone on the other side of the world who has a season ticket.

I was your choice not to buy one, therefore you can attribute blame to anyone else.

FINALLY...if you read the news on the website you will see that if you have bought a ticket already for the pompey league game you will get the chance to buy a ticket for this game before they go on general sale - the club are giving 99% of 'loyal' fans (your wors not mine) the chance to get a ticket befre joe bloggs

If you read my post I do say that priority for ATC and ST goes without saying.

It is the balance of tickets thereafter which I question. Will the club have a fair system to sort out the remainder of it's loyal supporters. There are many who go to away games who are not ST Holders, there are many (8k average? per match) who are walk-ups.

What I am saying is surely the club can use it's IT records to sort a priority system out for the remaining tickets after the ST cut-off date.

PS - I am referring to Wembley allocations.

PPS - Thanks for the latest Pompey ticket info Pooley. Now that's what I call doing it fair and doing it right.

PPPS - as regards my f* recession statement, that was out of frustration and annoyance. It's funny how recession is always the excuse for our low gates yet Villa get good gates and great away following. It's not recession which is Blues problem.

I think you will find it has also cut Villa's gates, they have only filled their stadium once this season and even for the league cup semi final they didnt fill it.

Even after there runs in Europe, Having one of the best moaners, sorry, managers in the country and pushing for Europe once more they still can't attract a full stadium.

Now I am willing to bet if we finish in the top ten, reach the semi finals of the FA cup and some how sneak a place in Europe, and sigh players in the summer we will have a full ground recession or not.

Getting tickets for these games is a big factor in me buying a ST every year even though I hardly use it.

i agree with you in part

BUT, the whole thing of the earlyness date is not fair IMO.

It should be STHs based on away games attended down to STs whove been to none.

I dont think its fair that people who have not even bothered to support the team in games at places like Wolves, Wigan and Hull should be able to easily get tickets for a "big game" just because they renewed their ST early.

And also i believe ATC should be scrapped. Its a Gold-Sullivan era money maker of rewarding fans with more money over fans who are more loyal.

ATC fans clearly cant be going to all away games because there have been games we have taken less than 1500 away fans (Everton away! in the league i think was one?) - and I knew someone who only got ATC membership to get a Villa ticket!

Fairest sale imo would have been
STH who've been to 10+ away games
STH 8+ away games
STH 6+ away games etc....
then just ST holders, and finally Non-STH whove been to away games (if they record that on the computers?)

I know some people will always miss out, but renewing tickets early may be a financial benefit to the club, but that shoudnt be rewarded over loyalty at travelling away and going home

I won't get a ticket in the general sale so will watch it on telly,I'm just one of many who can't make every game. Enjoy the day who ever goes and lets hope we win.
