This post has been taken from another thread, but started as a new topic so no-one will miss if interested. Suggestion to buy the SUPER SIX PACKAGE to guarantee a semi or final ticket. http://www.bcfc.com/page/HomeDetail/0,,10412~1964019,00.html The allocation at Wembley is circa 23,000. I am not counting chickens about Portsmouth, and think it will be a difficult game. This is just a suggestion for non-season ticket holders to perhaps guarantee a semi or final ticket, because one thing you can guarantee if we did reach the semi or final, there will be 50,000 people who will swear they have been to every match but are not a season ticket holder. This way, those that attend every match, but aren't season ticket holders, can buy the SUPER SIX PACKAGE (for matches they would be attending anyway?), and thereby get a ticket before the general sale takes place when I guarantee they will be massive demand with small percentage chance of obtaining ticket. With season ticket/ATC holders and SUPER SIX PACKAGE holders, all taking priority, there will be less than 5000 tickets for the general public (depending on SUPER SIX PACKAGE sales). People can make their choice, but this way, no genuine supporter who attends the majority of Blues matches will miss out on tickets, if Blues progress. No supporter could then moan about not getting a ticket by saying 'they haven't missed a Blues match for xx years', when this opportunity is open to them. KRO |

I dont think the home games will have any effect on away games, so the 'Super Six Package', then again, who knows. |

Surely anybody who has bought tickets already this season will only have to take proof of identity to the ticket office & they can easily check how many games they have attended  |

I emailed Sarah Gould and Wendy Monks regarding just this, below is Sarah Gould's response Thank you for your enquiry. I confirm that there is no priority on FA Cup tickets, this is purely a saving on match tickets for the last six matches. Kind regards Sarah Gould | Customer Services Manager Birmingham City Football Club plc So, it doesn't give priority. I suppose that's the end of this thread. |

It was a suggestion to the club to help out non-season ticket holders who attend every match, but who will end up in the massive general public sale of tickets, when anyone who hasn't attended many games will be just as entitled. The last 2 times we have reached Wembley, and the 1 time we reached Cardiff, over 50,000 fans wanted tickets! Any ticket allocation will be for much less than 50,000 that's for certain. A lot of whom, who were unable to get a ticket claimed they had been to every home game, but were not season ticket holders. I remember at Cardiff against Liverpool, that many regulars couldn't get a ticket whilst some that hadn't seen a Blues game for years did manage to obtain tickets. I just thought it was a decent suggestion to avoid that happening, and have always felt it's important for non-season ticket supporters who attend most Blues games, to have priority over those that attend less frequently and those that jump on the bandwagon when we get successful. It has no effect of me, as a season ticket holder, whatsover, but I know many who have attended every home game but couldn't afford the outlay of a season ticket. But, if as you say, Blues won't be offering those regular attenders who are non-season ticket supporters, an opportunity to have priority, then this suggestion, as you say, is dead in the water. If people are happy that they will be able to get a ticket and we won't have any upset regulars, then there is no issue anyway. If we do get past Portsmouth, let's just hope the available tickets reach those who deserve them most. |

This for me is the one downside to a succesful cup run. Fans start having a go at each other claiming to be more loyal fans as they go to every game. No, that just means they can afford to. There are supporters out there, through one reason or another can't go to as many games as the Blues fan next door, but that doesn't mean he should miss out on the chance of seeing Blues in an FA Cup final at Wembley. Take my own situation as just one example. A Blues fan since an early age, went regurlarly home and away for years, now exiled downunder. Never had the chance to see us in an FA cup final....and I've probably lived half of my life expectancy. Should I not get a ticket if we get to Wembley? There are others out there who would have similar stories to tell, many put families second to Blues, should they not get a ticket? It's always hard as the demand will always outweigh supply, but just give a little thought for those who have followed the Blues for many years and may not get that specail golden ticket. IF we get to the FA Cup final, I guarantee I will do whatever it takes to be there, by hook or by crook. |

The semi final allocation is almost equally divided between the clubs. It is the Final itself where the allocation is drastically cut. David Moyes last year spoke out forcefully about Everton only having about 27,000 tickets for the final. So the semi final will see many more tickets available to each club. Not 50,000 but certainly closer to 35-40,000. |

That's a fair point. I don't think Portsmouth are all that bad actually, they're certainly capable of beating Blues, especially at Fratton Park with that bloody annoying bell ringer... |
