Are they both injured or were they left out of the squad?

I know Queudrue played for the reserves tuesday but Murphy didnt.

Queudrue is just simply out of favour...he isnt really needed on the bench as Parnaby is the option on there which covers the whole back four.

Murphy is just back from his knee injury and there were reports that McLeish would let him go out on loan to get back to fitness.

Yeah just thought it strange that Murphy got himself back in the squad then didnt play on tuesday in the reserves or on the bench yesterday. If he had of played on tuesday i would of thought maybe it was just a straight choice out of him and Murphy but as he didnt maybe he is injured.

I dont think Parnaby would really be cover for the whole back 4....ok if Carr got injured bring him on, although Gardner was preferred v Wigan but if Ridgewell came off you would just have a straight swap for Vignal and if a centre half was, you would again bring Vignal on and move Ridgewell across 1.

Parnaby can cover the entire back four if need be though.

He can play right back or centre half if need be...and left back in an emergency.

However with us having Vignal on the bench too, we're covered without the need to play Parnaby as an 'emergency' left back.

Ridge is playing well enough at left back and keeping them out simples. He is getting forward and getting goals as well as maintaining his defensive duties.
At present Murphy and Quedrue cant warrent a first team call up while the current unit is fit

I wasnt saying they should be playing....i was wondering if the reason they wernt on the bench was injury or just selection!
Neither are anywhere near starting due to Ridgewell's great form

Just to update this thread, David Murphy has suffered a setback with a hamstring problem now following 11 months out with a fractured kneecap.....Highly unlikely to feature this season

May I be first to wsis him a speedy recovery **thumbup

Also from the Mail Franck Queudrue admits he's likely to exit BCFC at the end of the season and has gone on loan at Colchester

May I offer Franck good luck and thank him for his excellent service to Blues
