With the end of the season on the horizon, I was wondering who has been the fans favourite at St Andrews up till now. I tried to make a poll on this but couldn't figure it out. Who has been your player of the season and why?? **thumbup KRO |

tough call between Barry Ferguson, Lee Bowyer (although has faded/tired in recent matches) or Joe Hart. that said you know if Jerome fires the goals between now and May that put us in 8th then he must be in with a shout too - and i'm not his biggest fan! |

so difficult, there are at least 6 contenders, if Queudrue never got injured it could well be 7 cuz he was definitely on course to be Player of the Season picking up M.O.M. literally every game! for me 1. Hart 2. Scott Johnson (that's right i've merged RJ and Dann into one player because they both deserve to be praised for the amount of blocks and crucial interventions they've made this season) 3. Carr but after saying that i feel extremely guilty not giving it up for Bowyer and Ferguson who have worked their ar$es of this season! and then there's Mr 100% in Cameron Jerome, and the sackload of assists from Chucho *scratches head* god i hate threads like this ;) |

Agreed. How many points has he saved us, eh? Didn't AM reckon 10 or 12? And to think he had a bit of a dodgy start to the season, too..... |

Ferguson Not even a hesitation or a question.... Best player by a country mile and from what I hear will also be the Players' Player of the Season too! Ferguson makes the Team tick.... He is the heartbeat.... And when we went 2-0 down to Everton it was Ferguson who shouted at the rest of the Team, pointed to himself and said: "Me! Give the ball to me!" Nobody argued.... He then directed that game from central midfield and was the main reason why we were able to take command and come back in the way that we did! In a recent interview Fahey said:

1) barry ferguson consistant throughout and has kept the ball in the most important position, without him pulling the strings all year long, we would have been botton 6. most influetial player and unofficial captain 2) RJ battled for everything 3) Dann, most improved player. 4) bowyer , scored the most important goals, the ones that established us in the division, although not at his best now, he played his best when we need him most. 5) hart, great saves, one of best shot stoppers in the league, but don't let that mask his allround game, kicking, positioning, organisation and catching all still need work, will be the best but will be back at manc by then :crying: 6) CJ , toiled away all year. :Blues: :banner: |
