...formless and empty

Is this our defence in the first ten minutes of each game now or the Jerome / McFadden parnership in every game?

Bring Chucho on, not that I think he'll score, I know Jerome will if Chuchos playing!

Well we dont always need a change after getting back even. I mean that is a sign of success surely. If you managing to keep possesion and get back on level terms the team as it is - is obviously doing something right.

Dunn is having a good night I did suggest someone kick him earlier in the thread!! But my outstanding advice didnt get through!!

(I should be a football consultant )

Unfortunately what we all thought was going to happen is happening. The lack of a quality goal scorer is haunting us. The last few matches we've had more possession and more chances but scored fewer goals than the opposition.

Yes but spurs wanted an extra 500k for Pav and Blues were not going to be held to ransom ,that £40 mill has got to last a long time  ,about 5 years i reckon.

Anyone getting the feeling this season is going to end with a whimper?

Our season ended on the 6th March.

Now the players seem to like to give the oposition a goal or 2 headstart

hope not, if they give Villa a headstart we'll be buried

So youd have left Fahey on who's been anonymous all game?

Gardner's done OK down the right, and Jerome's pace will always cause trouble, especially alongside Chucho.

a goal scorer can do nothing about very poor defending

Agreed - but until they scored their second the BBC website was quoting 43:57 % possession in favour of Blues and 3:7 attempts in favour of Blues. Scoring goals is the holy grail - that's why you have to pay extortionate amounts for quality strikers.

he is the man for them this season. Without dunny they are nothing. He makes them tick in so many ways. If he had stayed injury free he would be to england what someone like lampard is to chelsea. Fantastic talent and player

Let not get carried away, Dunn is not good enough for england now or in the past.

I agree with that. Investment would have pushed us onto another level to continue the momentum. We were always going to burn out given our intensive 15-game run.

With some tough games coming up, I can't see us finishing in the top half of the table.

And he's Irish...

David Dunn on the other hand, had he not had such injury problems was easily good enough to have won many caps for England...

A comment from a great "fan" on the Sky Sports Score Centre...

"McLeish has to go, he keeps playing his fellow countrymen which is costing us points..."

Just

Pathetic.

Yes. I think there must be a relaxed atmosphere now at Wast Hills because there is nothing in reality to really aim at and the anti-climax at the main event being achieved has stopped the adrenalin being produced.
