he is the man for them this season. Without dunny they are nothing. He makes them tick in so many ways. If he had stayed injury free he would be to england what someone like lampard is to chelsea. Fantastic talent and player

Let not get carried away, Dunne is not good enough for england now or in the past.

And he's Irish...

David Dunn on the other hand, had he not had such injury problems was easily good enough to have won many caps for England...

changed it **thumbup

That backfired then

Hart's having a poor game, could of done better with both goals in all honesty.

Can't really complain about Joe Hart overall thi sseason though - I'm sure he's earned us more points than anyone else. Although I'm equally sure that some on here will slag him off later if we lose tonight.

No question about that, I wasn't knocking the lad but he's not the full package yet as some people think.

I agree with pooley, seems he's suffering from a dip in confidence.

Thats your opinion, even when he was injury free he got nowhere near the England squad.

Anyone getting the feeling this season is going to end with a whimper?

Our season ended on the 6th March.

Now the players seem to like to give the oposition a goal or 2 headstart

hope not, if they give Villa a headstart we'll be buried

I dread to think about that fixture at the moment.

Thank god we have the world cup this summer, would have been nearly 6 months of boredom.

Unfortunately what we all thought was going to happen is happening. The lack of a quality goal scorer is haunting us. The last few matches we've had more possession and more chances but scored fewer goals than the opposition.

Yes but spurs wanted an extra 500k for Pav and Blues were not going to be held to ransom ,that £40 mill has got to last a long time  ,about 5 years i reckon.

they wanted an extra 3 million (15million we offered 12)

Say's who ?

What's four or six places in finishing positions in the Premiership worth? Isn't it about half a million a place?

Could have been worth it.

Sneaky feeling for a Phillips goal.

But just as easily, we could let another one in at our end.

Come on Birmingham.

thats why I really hope he doesnt take the england number 1 jersey in the world cup because it could ruin the lad.

Carson was in fantastic form but that one england game (cant remember who it was against) killed him off when he made 2 big mistakes. He has not been the same keeper since and the same happened to Paul Robinson, one bad game for england and his confidence went from 100 down to 10 and he is still building upto where he got.

I would have Milner over Dunn even when both fully fit any day, thats why Milner is probably going to start for England and Dunn did not get a sniff even when he was fit, Milner is a much better player.

As I said earlier...some people are determined to use the "Pavlyuchenko" stick to beat McLeish and the board with.

1. We offered a low offer for him... Tottenham rejected.
2. We went back with another offer... Tottenham rejected.
3. Tottenham said they wanted £10m around the time we played them in the League game...we offered that and then Tottenham pulled the plug on it and said they werent selling him...and it ends up Keane goes off on loan a couple of days later.

Its not our fault, or 'lack of ambition or money'... it was simply Spurs not wanting him to go... how many times do people need to be reminded that?
