Pooley you astound me, Milner is a class act.

and you call yourself blueblood!

more like claret&blueblood!

Hello im a blues fan and I let that cloud my judgement of players who play for our local rivals. Grow up will you.

Milners international career hasn't started yet really has it, but i know i would like to see him at right wing over lennon and SWP. Believe it or not villa have a number of good young english players all not too far from the england squad. Does it make me a villa fan for acknowledgeing that?

Heskey, Milner, Downing, Young, Warnock.

who cares ?

Just as I thought an away defeat!

Soon as I saw the team, Fadds behind Calamity I thought AM got the side/tactics WRONG again!

Just what does AM see in McFadden playing behind Jerome? Didnt work at Pompey, so what does he do...Yup makes the SAME mistake..

Disapointed in AM AGAIN

we tend to agree on everything kev

it is always the same with 'calamity', he has a decent spell then dries up, you watch him score maby 1-2 before the end of the season.

jerome has the same ammount of goals as adebuyor and anekla and cost a lot less, get off the kids back, if he gets 11 goals this season it will be a good return for a newly promoted side and a young lad who is still learning in the prem!

I felt Chucho should have started tonight. However tonights team selection matters not one jot, If we can't defend properly we'll never have the opportunity to win any game.

Time for Mcleish to read the riot act, losing is fine, but to keep contributing to these defeats with continued poor defending is unacceptable IMO.

We came to a place where Chelsea came a few days ago and scored the same amount as they did at the same venue, the strikers worked hard! Tonight, it was the defence that let us down. He had/is still on a decent spell when playing alongside chucho, tonight he was basically on his own upfront.

Blackburn the Mothers. Im ****ed off after that one we should have got some thing out of it.

The stats are:
Mothers ------------------------- Blues
7-----------Shots On Target -----5
2-----------Shots Off Target------3
18---------Fouls (Conceded)-----10
5----------Corners------------------6
2----------Yellow Cards------------1
0----------Red Cards---------------0

You see Man City - Hart is not half as good as he has made us out to be now lets put in a trasnfer offer of 1m and a packet of pork scratchings because we feel sorry for him and everyone thinks he's pants!!

It's obvious we are not going to pay £7,000,000 for chucho when he isn't our main striker, i could only see Big Eck paying that much money if Chucho was starting every week and scoring.

if i could ask Alex a question it would be,

what are your views on why we keep giving ourselves a mountain to climb in the first few minutes of games.

people moaning about tactics and team selection... we are safe why cant he tweak and try things with this current squad?

shame really because a great season could turn into an average season if we keep giving away cheap goals.

done a great job so i aint bothered if we lose anymore we are safe so cant really complain!

We known Fads and Jerome does not work.
We know we play better when Benitez play (even though I dont actually rate him that highly as a player).
We know Fahey does not get involved in games,
We know Bowyer is not playing as well as he did earlier in the season.

couldnt agree more we built our season on 1-0s but now we letting like nobdys business that 1 goal just not enough would of settled for a draw before the game but seeing how poor they are and how well we started the 2nd half i was expecting a win SILLY ME

Come on boys its not over yet!!

Heads up!!

Until the End of the road! Not until 10 mins from time and then concede defeat!

We can still get a point!   :Blues:

We can!

but...

our season does seem like its fizzling out.

im not sure if im being unfair, but its like the players havent been turning up the last few games. Everton and Sunderland could both have buried us before we got foot holds in the game. Blackburn not so much, but still a slow, slow start.

i'd be lying if i said i was confident about the next 5 games...
Arsenal (H)
Liverpool (H)
Man City (A)
Hull (H)
Vile (A)

we could be heading into that game at Villa park on the back of bad form, and we dont want that again

5 points at a push from those

How cr*p would that be - only 50 or so points from the season!

Yes I know it's disappointing after what we thought could happen a few weeks ago - but we'd all have been happy with that at the start of the season wouldn't we.

40 points and survival was the target.

Secondary target, 50 points.

I'll be happy.

When you finish your G C S E 's what do you want to do with your life ? I am curious as you seem to have very little ambition . feed.back

A little feedback please? Okay !!

A team that got promoted despite playing poor football and not being able to score many goals in the Championship - our first and only priority was survival. to achieve that with 9 games still to play was FANTASTIC.

Then we build.

There's loads of examples of one season (or half season) wonders (Hull spring to mind last season).

"It's a long long road". Stayin on it is what matters and moving forward as and when we can. We're NEVER going to be able to compete with the top 4 or even 6 clubs in the Premiership in the foreseeable future - so to be ninth at this stage is fine as far as I'm concerned.

That doesn't mean I have no ambition, I'm disappointed about the last couple of results but I'm happy with the season overall. Yes we could have made some different decisions (e.g. re a goal score in January) - but hey - life's not perfect.

how the hell is he meant to score when he is on the bench.

it is clear eck doesnt like the kid, unlike most of us.

it was made clearer than ever tonight that we are not the same without him. When is the stubborn git going to realise?

:Blues: i dont really feel like keeping right on recently but there you go

Bobatov - Your assesment of the game

mmmmm

pants!!

Jones had a very good game he had to because Jerome was all over him.
Jerome caused their defence a lot of problems.

Gardener and Ferguson did okay. Bowyer a wee bit quieter than the form he is shown earlier in the season 6/10.

Mcfadden lively 8/10. Defence 6/10 except Carr who gets an extra ppoint 7/10 for lumping Dunn.

Hart poor by his standards 5/10.

Overall team performance not a disgrace by any means but a bit disappointing.
Seems to be not going our way a it of late.

Why do people suddenly think Eck has a problem with Chucho? He named him in 12 consecutive premiership (just for you beegee) matches. He doesnt have it in for him!

Finished my GCSE's years back.

And whats wrong with being happy with survival and a top half finish?

Or are you one of those deluded fans who think we should get into Europe?

All Blues fans know we're not good enough for Europe, and I seriously think it would be a hinderance to us if we got into it this year.

Some people need a reality check...first season back in the Prem...takeover mid season... history of being a 'yo-yo' team... and some people arent going to be happy with Premier League survival, 40-50 points, and therefore a top half finish!

I assure you I am gutted, as I am after every loss!

But your generic blame for a defeat is automatically point a finger at Jerome or 'Calamity'.

You either have a personal vendetta against him for whatever reason, or no F-all about football, because even when he scores twice, he still gets both barrels off ya... Surely it gets boring after abit?
