I can't believe what I'm reading here. I open up a post and inside "sack mcleish" "boring football" "get rid of fahey" "get rid of mcfadden" "jerome is rubbish".... I could go on all night!!

What most of these people seem to forget is - THIS IS OUR FIRST SEASON BACK IN THE PREM.. WE ARNT GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE!!!!!!!!

And before certain people start giving it the "you're not a real fan, if you were then you wouldn't be content"
There is nothing more that I would love than to see us become established here and build on success... THAT DOESNT MEAN SACKING THE WHOLE SQUAD AND MANAGER BECAUSE WE LOSE 2-1 TO BLACKBURN!!!!!!!!!!! neither does it mean moaning and ripping into our squad.. I have enough of that from the villa idiots.

This is our first season up.. remember that. We are safe. We have had an AMAZING season. Success takes time and investment. It's not going to happen overnight, Rome wasn't built in a day. Just please... those certain people - THINK before you start moaning off on one.

Is it the lack of historical success that has bread all this negativity...

is it just the frustration of here we go again...we get some where and then we just fail and never finish the job off.

why do you think that some fans need to live in this negative after match mode..

there must be a reason for it...

feed.back

I must admit that i felt happier when we were rubbish as i new what we were. Even though i used to dream of being better and high up in the premiership...

But i personally would not swap what we have now and am 100% behind our team, with its warts and all....

You do get the feeling that the players have switched off,its nothing new with blues ,over the years we were so close to lots of things just missing out because minds are elsewhere.

You could wake up this morning a Celtic fan...

....what, second in the league? or having to put up with the hugely overrated McGeadey? or below a long way behind your local rivals?

did it end up 4-0?

I agree with the opening post.

Did anyone realy believe we would be in the comfort zone in march?

I thought we would struggle so I am more than happy, building a team in the prem is hard to do and it looks like we are on the right track

Yes, but for Celtic their 2nd place is the same as Hitler being the leader of the runners-up in WWII.

Celtic are well used to 2nd place..it's where they've spent most of their time! 53 & counting!! :P

I think the problem is that after reaching safety by Feb time, we have now not kicked on in our results and are going abit backwards with some players not really performing as they did before. I am not knocking anyone but it would be nice just to see how far this squad could go this season because to progress,it will need breaking up abit and better players coming in which is only natural.

I think the FA cup defeat has affected us all more than we think, if we got a trip to Wembeley I believe some fans wouldn't be so critical of the team in the past few weeks.

But blues being blues let us all down again.

To me, its as if some fans seriously believe that we have a divine right to beat everyone.

Theres no way we could compete with the top sides in this division on the budget that McLeish had in the summer...yet we're sitting in 9th at the moment, ahead of teams who spent huge amounts of money on players, like Sunderland.

It is our first season back in this division, and we're WAY ahead of schedule as we were safe by March... so how anybody can complain about the season is beyond me, it really is.

Did anybody really think we'd get European football in August? Did anyone really think we'd get into the top 10 for the majority of the season? Did anyone anticipate a long unbeaten run like we had? The answer is no.

I remember this place following the home defeat to Bolton...all slagging the manager off, the board off, the players off, saying we're certs for relegation, and how 17th would be an achievement.

Well we're 9th, and thats even more of an achievement...and European football for us would be more of a hinderance than help for next season IMO...just look at Ipswich years ago when they got promoted, and into Europe the next season....followed by a poor second season, and relegation.

Our target is to establish ourselves in this division, like we did when we first got promoted here in 2002/2003... id be happy with a couple of mid table finishes, before we push on and try to improve then.

I don't believe fans are getting ahead of themselfs but if the team can achieve what they did by the end of feb, why can't we expect them to try and push on for a good finish. Its not like most of them have never played in the prem before so should know what to expect. I am not one of these that believe that just because we came up we should struggle when the players knew what was expected in the prem. Its also a good way to see how they respond to the managers wish and how much ambition they have.
I am not knocking anyone before someone jumps on the bandwagon and has a go but for years , blues fans have just accepted anything really and now this group of players has shown they can do something at long last.
