Bit of a strange one this. I think the first team football will benefit frank by keeping him fit but I thought he was back-up incase of injury's. Any thoughts on this one feed.back

I think it would be an insult to someone who is nearly 33, to be sent away for some 'experience'!!!

Leaves us a bit short at the back.... I really dont see the point as i doubt Colchester could contribute much to his wages!!
And why does he need 1st team experience? For his new club next season?

Its probably what he wants and thats to play as in his interview he could have gone to mid table clubs but fancied a promotion challenge. Fair play to him and I hope he does well

Regardless of what he wants, isnt it in our interest to keep him here as back up?

His contracts up not like we are going to benefit from him being in the shop window?

He wants to play football, but this is not good for blues, if we get injuries.

let's be honest we'd have to have some serious injuries in the next 7 games for FQ to be in the starting 11.

if one of Dann or Johnson are injured then Ridge will move to the centre of defence and Vignal/Murphy as left-back. if Ridge was injured then again Vignal/Murphy would step in. on the other side there's Carr, Parnaby and even Larsson.

the player wants match time so give it to him. no issue really... well i don't think so at least. am sure there's a recall option.

What a signing for Colchester though, he was our best player in the early part of this season, in the Premier League.

He was our Player of the Season last year in the Championship, and now he's dropped even lower to League 1? Definitely a coup for them.

Does leave us short on options at centre half...Ridgewell can cover and Vignal/Murphy can slot in at left back, but if two from Johnson/Dann/Ridgewell get injured, then we're gonna be forced into playing a full back (Carr, Parnaby, Murphy) at centre half.

Strange, but got to feel that Franck and McLeish didnt really get on.

It does make me laugh on here sometimes

Cameron Jerome, James McFadden, Keith Fahey and Chucho get hung, drawn and quartered on here most of the time yet there seems sadness even some discontent that Queudrue has gone out on loan to a club and a football standard he'll be more accustomed to

He is not LB back up to Ridgewell at all........Murphy and Vignal are and they are both ahead of him in the pecking order

He's gone to Colchester not for experience but to give them his own experience....I have to admit it's a great move by the Essex club who are chasing the Play Offs and currently lie 6th .....FQ will be an asset to them.....But an asset to us.......Sorry, 2 years ago maybe but not anymore

Queudrue had a great Championship season, true and thouroughly deserved his award but he is simply not a PL standard defender anymore....He's 31 now and way too slow for this level

i don't see how Queudrue is any slower than Dann or RJ TBH, the key to being a good defender is good positioning and Franck has that IMO

at the start of the season he was rightly named MOM on a consistent basis.

i don't think he's past/not good enough at all

Please note that I said himself and not the club putting him in the shop window.

I don't think that's a fair assessment of Franck. For most of the games he played this season he seemed to win the MOTM award. He is as much a left back as Ridgewell and is possibly more suited on paper for the position.

I think it's a good move for Franck as it puts him on the windowsill for the summer. Not playing first team will not get him the contract he deserves.
