I really don't think we exploit them well enough. It may be a lack of pace from the wide players, which is something Alex really needs to address this summer, or whether its Jerome and who ever else is up front just not making the runs, but with their full backs pushing up so far today, there really was a lot of room behind them, and we didn't make the most of it. Just a little thing, but these things turn draws into wins :) Opinions? |

We don't have any wingers and we play centre midfielders on the flanks who will naturally drift into the centre; there's no way around the lack of width atm. The last decent winger we had down Blues was Pennant, players like Sinclair and Quincy never cut it. Many of them don't track back and not only does that upset supporters, but it doesn't fit into our team ethic. It's a problem area because a quality winger can win games but I'd say getting that person in the box who can convert those crosses is of more significant importance. |
