yes it was brilliant and although went on about our pessimism they showed we do it with humour and were really positive about the club and fans. I thought Eck was great too. I'm proud my football club has character rather than bland.

Something to do with re-broadcasting the match highlights and the Brum piece included a small set of game highlights.

Don't know how familiar you are with motd2 but they tend to feature a different side each week. For us talked about our traditional association with pessimism and that there was little for us to be pessimistic about this season so far. They spoke to a few fans and Jasper Carrot who said all the blues fans smelt like mahogany because they've all come out of the woodwork and that you could tell who the bluenoses were because they were covered in bruises from pinching themselves all season. They were talking to Tatts as well, who said there was a new era of optimism since eck came in and also said that Blues had never been a 'great' club {meaning history wise I assume!} but that there was a feeling that we were now finally progressing.
They then scouted round a few people asking for their predictions, most 'optimistically' predicted a draw. They also showed the game highlights again and a short post match interview with Carrot again then eck. They referred to the aura of pessimism surrounding the blues when he arrived, but he made a joke about the beeb giving Blues fans a bad name. He basically said along the lines of we feel we've goven the fans a lot to be proud of this year {quite rightly so!} and when asked about those fans who were starting to mention second season syndrome already he referred to the attitude of the players in the dressing room and indicated that there was no way they were content with relegation scrap style performances next season.
Overall they said that the pessimism associated with us basically seemed unfounded this season and that everyone at the match was in good spirits. Good positive look at our fans for once!!
PS Carrot didnt say Mahogany, he said something else but I can't remember what, before someone jumps in and corrects me :)
**thumbup
Someone tell me if I've forgotten anything?
Sorry if that's a bit rambling I'm shattered, can't seem to sleep tonight!

Hope you get some sleep soon.... ..zz..
Off subject a little. I can't understand why are crowds are still so low. I hope the club start to address this and try more things to get fans back..
I guess the summer dealings will go along way towards this..

Jasper Carrot said the Blues fans smelt of cuprinol which I think is a wood preservative!

I didn't think that joke worked very well tbh. Blues fans have hardly come out the woodwork have they, St.Andrews still has a vast amount of empty seats?
"You can always tell a blues fan; they smell of cuprinol because they've come out of the woodwork!"

Just watched it, pretty good piece actually, i enjoyed it quite humerous.
I hadn't realised Colin Tattum was a fairly young bloke, for some reason i had it in my head he was considerably older tomatoes

I think it's to do with our number of core season ticket holders, if that was higher we wouldn't rely on so many walk ins to fill the ground. Plus no matter what the game is there are always going o be some empty seats, like the restricted view for example... Hopefully more will renew their season ticket next year in order to boost attendances
I feel guilty for not getting to more games but there's not a huge amount I can do about it unfortunately

just seen it...thanks..
I wonder if we will ever get live matches on this....Even if it was for overseas people that have no chance of not going...that would be nice..i would pay to have that and give blues some more of my money...
Spent on blues this season....5 tickets...6 shirts and blues player...not bad for someone in Canada.
But i bet the teve deal in China will stop this happening and the deals with setanta etc...but it does not stop us having lets say a 2 hr delay on the broad cast....i would wait 2 hrs for that....well maybe...no i wouldn't i would just watch it twice if we won or drew.... :D

BCFC has just sent out random survey questionaires to some of us who subscribe to Blues Player and for the question on how to improve the player I requested a pay per download facility @ £1.99 for extended highlights of 30 minutes and £2.99 for a full game broadcast, much as I suggested on an earlier post in the Blues Exiles thread! **thumbup

I didn't get to see MoTD2, but i did see the virgin highlights, which have missed out what I see as the key highlight of the game, our goal.
