As im sure more of you lot know, we were on MOTD2 and all they kept going on about was us, as fans, been pessimistic all the time.

Lowdham, Guest 57521654, V for Vendetta etc etc, thanks for that :applause: , really helps our club image.

Cameron Jerome = World Class

Its conditioned into blues fans to be pessimistic because they will always let us down, look at pompey in the FA cup, some of us dared to be optimistic and it got thrown back in our faces. tomatoes

Cameron Jerome isnt world class.

I like Cameron, I really do...and I appreciate the fact he has improved this season...but saying he's world class does give the knockers of him ammunition.

He's not world class, but he's progressed and improved this season, no doubt about it. Yeah, some people are blinkered and knock him for the sake of it, or just to wind people up... but anyone who understands football will see he's improved and respect the fact that he's our top scorer.

Yes I agree. This was the beginning of the end really. It's Armageddon now, we'll never ever have the chance to get to an FA Cup semi final ever again. And we're only just in the prem next year pretty much by the skin of our teeth, wouldn't you say? and only a bit of money to spend in the Summer.

No reason to be positive or dare to dream at all...

This was just Jasper Carrot recycling one of his old gags of being a Bluenose round again as he has done time and time again in the past, :banghead: :banghead: and as the resident celeb on hand Saturday for MOTD2 their commentator just followed his lead until he was checked by McLiesh when he interviewed Big Eck! :applause:

There's no more yardage in JC's old gag so dont buy into it blueblood, :copno: let hope the Brummie comic realises that before next season!

Hmmm i gotta be honest, the Cameron Jerome thing was bait for all the pessimists out there to have a go ;-), sorry, I had to!

To be honest Jasper Carrot hardly helps us either, but there definately is pessimism around the place. Where I sit there are so many moaners I was literally thinking about moving seat! I personally think the lack of real atmosphere around the place proves this.

Blondebluenose, like it!

Didnt see the Jasper Carrot thing, its just supporting a team thats never won anything and moaning about pessimism is like going to Australia and complaining about the heat, it comes with the teritory.

Remember the last season we thought we would really move on, 'the best squad ever' season. What happened? Yep we were relegated at home to Newcastle.
I do think that better things are on the horizon with Eck at the helm though and a decent board in place.

Woah some people seem to have has a sense of humour bypass.
C'mon kids the best part of being a bluenose is the ability to laugh at ourselves unlike the "We were european champs once y'know" pink and baby blue brigade down the road.

Many times criticsm appears totally unbalanced perhaps this is the pessimistic self-defensive mechanism coming out. We were not able to sell out against Arsenal. Perhaps potential fans haveent wanted to attend because it doesnt feel "special" enough.

I mean ManUtd sell 65k+ non-stop. Yet Manchester isnt the richest town in the UK. But people go to to ManU beuase it feels like a privilige to go. Okay they have some of the best players on the world but they have always packed them in.

Vile to unfortunately have a higher gate average than us. I think it is because people who want entertainment want to be happy spend some fun, up time.

Blues less than illustrious career has meant many fans have humour sometimes quite dark who also can have a self-defeatest attitude which acts as a safety mechanism against disappointment.

We have at present a manager who is forthright enough to bring quality to Blues despite this. If the Blues fans and potential Blues fans can recognise this the sleeping giant may at last stir itself.

:Blues:

I used to live in Lancashire and my feeling is that going to see a live football match plays a diifferent part in life up there. And the folks are much more optimistic.

Not much of an excited buzz on match day at either st andrews or ***** park in my experience.

All a bit of a let down after all the dosh you have to pay out.

Was it ever any different in the days of standing terraces? relative to the northern clubs I mean?

But I am still loving what Big Eck is doing with the team this year and how the fans are responding to the new owners. Damn it I really want to be optimistic and openly passionate but I am frightened I am going to get hurt again like in the last Bruce years.

Am I alone?
