Has got an amazing scoring record wherever he has been. He walked all over Liverpool tonight, he missed a fair few chances put his penalties away like a hitman. ANY player in Portugal is likely to want to come to the Premier League to prove themselves and earn a fat salary. Im sure some bigger clubs than us may be looking at him but surely worth a go! I reckon about £10-£12m would do it! feed.back |

he does look class, but doubt 10-12m would be enough to let him go. And i think he'd rather go to a Man City/Spurs than us to be honest... He'd want European football and a club with more pedigree in my opinion. Shame eh! Maybe whats-his-name from Saltzburg is a more realistic target for us. |

Hmmm pushing the boat at £15m. The way I see it he's 26 and has built his career from Argentina -> Portugal -> Big European League, which is the way many South American's do it. I don't think Spurs or Man City will be spending big (biggish) on another striker as they both have loads. If a top 4 club didnt come in for him and he saw us as a stepping stone to one of them I would take that hands down. In terms of him wanting europe, I hate to say it but I reckon he would take an extra £15-20k a week over a spot in the uefa cup. A medium (as opposed to long) shot in my opinion. I think your referring to Marc Janko? Maybe worth a go at £5m ish, but the austrian league is not really much to go by imo. Not the top class striker were after. |
