fyi most of the people who voted are people 'known' to the club (ie ont he mailing list/blues world/here database) therefore the fact is most of the people who voted are people who have or do participate in other online club 'things'

But wasn't there a phone vote in the Birmingham Mail aswell? (ie. open to anyone)

yes which equated for about 15% of the votes only

how do you know that?

I voted for D, as did the rest of my family.

I have always wanted us to play in a shirt with a white chevron due to the fact we played in that style between 1913 and 1927, I always wanted to see a modern version of it, was annoyed that Man Utd got there first though. < <

I can't wait for a kit which is actually reflective of 'The Blues' sometime soon....Unless of course you want too keep these naff designs with white flashes everywhere and call ourselves the Whites instead?

I have to agree.

This design only got 33% of the vote meaning that 67% voted for a Blue shirt. Because there were three Blue shirts it split the vote. Not quite a fair vote imo.

Our official club colours are Royal Blue shirt with WHITE TRIM. I really can't understand the constant bleating just because the shirt u voted for didnt win. It's what is know as a democratic vote. You'd be the 1st to moan if the fans had no input like normal

Your signature "Born Blue, Live Blue, Die Blue" - shouldn't you now amend to "Born Blue (with a white trim), Live Blue (with a white trim) and Die Blue (with a white trim) ;)

TBH this is not good news for the clubs finances. The new stripe is so similar to the current one sales will be effected.

Also, slightly off topic, why is it that blues fans wear very old (I don't mean retro either) shirts to the game? Is it me but I don't seem to see other clubs fans wearing old tatered shirts?
We must be stingy :LMAO:

I take it this was a vote? A public vote, over the internet? If that is the case then a portion of the low winning 33% could be outsiders having a laugh/being spiteful.

If Villa chose their kit this way and had a pink shirt with skyblue pokerdots as a choice then all of us would be on the voting site like a rash.

Grumpy, if as you say 3 kits were similar then obviously it puts the fourth "different" one at an advantage.

My thoughts are it is very similar to this seasons - and as Raters says it could effect sales being so alike, and it is Rugby Leagueish, can't wait for Wigan away.

That's all I was saying but it seems to have caused quite a stir.

If it had been a straight vote between the blue and white strip and an all blue strip imo it would have been a different result.

Personally i'm not too fussed but the strip that won does look too much like this seasons strip.

I'm with you mate - i see where you are coming from. Had it have just been either a plain blue shirt or the one with more white on it then people would have moaned there were only 2 choices! Its blue, its white, its our colours so i'll take it...although i actually voted for A so i was in the minority!

the irony i it was a fair vote and just because a shirt people didnt like won people are complaining about it...come next season we will probably not have a vote and then people will be moaning they dont have a say in the kit.

I don't consider it fair because I never knew anything about a vote - until I read this thread this morning.

I wonder what the "turn out" was. 20,000? 2,000? or 200?

PS Grumpy, like you I have used an Election theme as today is the day. :D
