the irony i it was a fair vote and just because a shirt people didnt like won people are complaining about it...

Firstly let me say that it was a good idea to have a vote and we should be thanking the club for doing it.

But, I don't think it was a fair vote. You could have had four strips, two all blue and two blue and white. Then it would have been fair.

In the end a strip is a strip and we will all get used to it no matter what the deisgn is. Really it's the player wearing it who is more important.

Unless it's the goalkeeper, then it's a case of he's picked up the wrong shirt.

That has given me a thought/question - do we get a goalkeepers shirt vote?

probably not mate,

but i wonder what it will be like. I really liked last seasons gk kit, the orange one.

I think blues will go for a yellow or red one.

Looks like the Villa fans won this one.

Remind me again the nicknmae of this club is ...........

horrendous decision.  :redcard:

I agree it's far from my favourite!

I think the decision was down to the options, rather than anything else. I know it may seem odd but... when the kits were released I told my family which would win (kit D). The reason behind that was there are only three different designs ...

All blue (a)
all blue with badges in different position (b & c)
and blue with a big white stripe (d)

Now, I know that b and c are different - due to the white detail on c. However, they are otherwise the same.

if you look at the scores for each 'design' the design of b & c (irrespective of the white or blue detail) that design scored around 50%. Also, kit D was disliked - or rather, not preferred by 67% of fans.

This tells me 2 things - 1 you can't please everyone and 2 that I think there was a design preferred by the club (d). It may sound cynical, but there are marketing decisions behind every business, and I'm sure the stripe means more to the club than the fans.

However, I'm sure I'll still buy it, I'll just be wishing it was any of the others.

KRO!

I can't wait for a kit which is actually reflective of 'The Blues' sometime soon....Unless of course you want too keep these naff designs with white flashes everywhere and call ourselves the Whites instead?

I have to agree.

This design only got 33% of the vote meaning that 67% voted for a Blue shirt. Because there were three Blue shirts it split the vote. Not quite a fair vote imo.

Our official club colours are Royal Blue shirt with WHITE TRIM. I really can't understand the constant bleating just because the shirt u voted for didnt win. It's what is know as a democratic vote. You'd be the 1st to moan if the fans had no input like normal

Since when as trim been nearly half the shirt?

I've no problem with white on the shirts, indeed, I like the chevron in itself, but I dont like the style of the white down the sides. Similarly this season, I didn't like the style of the white at the sides, but I eventually got used to the white at the top, even though it reminded me of a bib!

I like a bit of white on the shirt but i'm not sure about the design chosen. I'd like to see a 360 pick before I make up my mind. I'm just praying xtep can recreate the quality of the umbro badges. They have to be the best we've ever had :Blues:

Speaking of badges on shirts, I was looking at the new Liverpool shirt today, and the badge is just a cheapo iron-on job. And the material looks fairly cruddy, too...

Next season it should be 2 votes. Colours for shorts/top/socks and the actual design.

I Voted B
But still happy with the choice
there isn't that much more white on this kit than this seasons :S

Does anyone know anything of the away kit yet?
whether it will be a vote or if its been decided?
cheers

Very disappointed with the new kit. I'll buy it in August 2011 when it's being knocked out for a tenner or less. And I'll still be getting ripped off.

With only 33% of the vote, does this mean it is only a minority first team kit, and that kit d will have to a deal with kit b to form a majority kit. Maybe kit d could offer to use kit b socks or something.

Does anybody know what the third kit will be like?

I assume there will be one, as if the away kit the reverse of the home kit, they'll need a third kit for the match at Ewood Park.

Probably just use an old away kit, either the white with red stripe or black one

I liked all the kits and think D will look good and become a grower on many people and indeed sell well abroad.

Plus it is loosely related to an historic blues kit which had the arrow design so just like the penguin it's a nod to blues history.

They can't use one of the old away kits because they were made by Umbro.

If they do have a third kit, which they sort of have to, it will have to be something new by Xtep.
