The 'V' looks far bigger than what it does in the mock up, but other than that, oh and the little Xtep thing around the arm, then thats all thats different really

Am I the only person who isn't bothered about the white?

I mean so many teams play in blue nowadays, giving our kit more white gives us more of a unique kit.

Tbh I couldn't care less if we're "the blues", times change.

My only criticism of the Villa kits is that they are getting a bit same-y...

But at least it's a classic look that works for their club and is quite aesthetically pleasing to the neutral...

Pleasing to the colour blind you mean.

Yeah I find claret such an ugly colour and really fail to understand why so many clubs adopt the claret and blue strip

Need to see some more pictures of this tbh but on this image alone it looks awful. The Xtep logo going round the end of the sleeve looks tacky, and the stripe looks weird and it doesn't even look 'V' shaped to me.

The home shirt looks a lot better than I thought it would. The xtep logo around the right sleeve/left leg is a nice touch and I much prefer the collar to that on the away shirt. Probably too much white on it but it certainly doesn't look tacky.

I also have to say the F&C spnosor's logo is one of the best I can remember for having a design that compliments the kit, doesn't look out of place at all.

Not too happy with that, the design is ok but the work around the badge is terrible, look at it puckering up and all those joins are going to cause problems.

but I will wait to see it first hand before i decided to buy it or not.

I don't mind the top.... The shorts on the other hand.

I agree.

I am abit jealous of their design to be honest. A smart, retro inspired design. Nice and simple, no stupid 'chevron's or tacky 1990's logo on the arm like ours.

Oh well...

i quite like the x-tep running round the sleeve and shorts, its different anyway!

the stripe on the other hand looks huge and not even like a 'v'- terrible

i voted kit D and tbh i would have liked that kit with the little added touches like the x-tep on the sleeve and shorts and also the white front on the neck is quite nice!

overall about 6.5-7/10

The chevron has certainly changed: wider, and less pronounced....

First impressions are that I think I prefer it over the original pic.

I like the shorts. So does this mean I've got bad taste?

Are the socks still going to be two-tone like in the mock up?

I might at a push get the away shirt but there is no way I could bring myself to buy the home shirt

Thats NOT the new Villa kit, as i said earlier in this thread. That is one of three very proffessional looking mock ups of what fans wanted. They are still to have their kit revealed.

As for our kit, well you get what you ask for, hideous in the design stage, hideous it would seem in the final cut. Oh how more proffessional a plain BLUE kit would have looked.

What I can't believe is somebody who has no interest in the new kit, posting in the new kit thread.

These sort of posts always make me laugh. There are a lot of fans, myself included, who care about the club's kits.

There are also a lot of fans, who don't care about the kit. That's fine, but why post in the new kit thread? It's like signing up to a Doctor Who fan's forum, and just going on about how you don't really care. "It's only a TV show!!!"

On the subject of the kits, I'm not a fan of either. I agree with the person who said they just look so small time. Shame we can't get Nike or Adidas, but there you go.

Here's hoping for a nice third kit, anyway....

Any news on the third kit? We have to have one, surely....
