They're damn awful things. I don't know about you, but they seem to have taken away all the atmosphere from the game. You can't hear the rival teams supporters, or any cheering at goals, corners etc.

I for one don't want them in the English game.

Notice that when something happens, like a corner, the sound level just goes through the roof. Goodness knows what it's like to be actually there.

Why not give em a go?

Lets face it something needs to be done about the rubbish atmosphere down St Andrews nowadays!

On another note, anyone notice fans drinking bottles of beer inside the stadiums (budweiser I think) wonder if that will ever happen at grounds in the uk (especially St Andrews), I'd like to think so one day!!!

Kro.

no...more access to beer = more drunken yobbos...not something we need

No, no, no!

They're impacting on the level of football at the World Cup, and making it quite possibly one of the most boring tournaments so far in recent memory!

They'd be banned if I had my way.

Well, the BBC HD is amazing, but ITV output is fluctuating between HD and SD 576i for some reason.

Good job we have the new regime, the old owners would of seized the opportunity to come out publicly and jump on the bandwagon and announce a ban, with that-awful-woman pictured with one ripped in half. The failed-ex-manager would be pictured next to her and be quoted as saying something like,"Wor, they never had these in my day bonny lad. we're going down..." or something.

Thank God for progress.

Like most on here I think they are a pain, but I reckon the chances are fairly high that a few idiots will smuggle a couple into the ground next season, I just hope they have been drinking all day and that they all sit in the row immediately behind bluenosekev.

It doesn't happen in rugby.

In fact it doesn't happen in football in say, Spain. No problems having a beer at my seat when at Racing Santander.

Perhaps it's your English football fan that is the problem. In the main you get what you deserve in this life.

No. Just No. Beer isn't a problem, especially at the prices you get in the grounds. If someone really wants to get babooned they'll always find a way.

it has often been said rugby is a yobs game played by and watched by gentlemen...whereas football is a gentlemans game watched and played by yobs.

I think there is a lot to be said for that

If you have ever been to an England game you would know that they already sell horns on the merchandising stands outside the game so they are not a new phenomenon and are already used across UK grounds.

I will state now that if anyone decides to blow one whilst sitting next to me at St St. Andrews they will find it will in future only serve to magnify the sound of them farting.

:crying: :LMAO:

Well at least I would be kept awake < <

Unlike last season when god knows how many times I nodded off due to the lack of exciting/attacking football ..zz..

not sure about there place in the british game, as it is people moan enough anyway.

i got back from joburg today after watching england usa and holland denmark and the vuvuzela and horns MADE the atmosphere pre match! for the england game there was a good amount of singing especially considering all fans are mixed. i had a great time with the african fans out there and it seems sad the rest of the world can embrace the cup and vuvuzela and all we can do is moan and create rubbish media storys about how every england fan will get mugged etc. we saw no trouble at all and the people are great!
