The fixtures look good from Feb till the end of the season should we find ourselves sucked into the battle at the bottom to avoid relegation.

My thoughts exactly, we play Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea fairly early which is good.

No cynicisms.

I posted over a week ago that one of the "requests" to the final fixtures compilers is that Blues and West Ham play midweek at Blackpool.

So, our wonderful hoolies not only deny us proper KOs against our local rivals but a weekend in Blackpool as well.

decent start to the season imo.
sunderland away first game should be good as brucies sides are usually slow starters as we know. the next 5 or 6 games look winnable too.

Blues have a bad name for hooliganism, still. Blackpool is a top venue for potential hooliganism that is why it was required to be a midweek KO. For some reason it was considered a top potentially explosive venue for those Essex boys as well.

Get rid of the hoolies, then get treated properly. It's so simple. You get what you deserve.

Hootie, last year the season started on 15th August, so that makes it pretty much the same time this year...

so why ? someone as got to know just out of interest it could be an unwanted distraction for a team going for europe or the title or even relegation

Majority of their Lancashire derby games are on a Saturday/Sunday more potential flashpoints there than the visit of Birmingham..

Makes me smile that one incident 20yrs ago is still remembered so fondly Lowds...
